The job of the of the latter is to absorb chatter in place of your hand, especially around the median nerve, which can be harmed by sustained or rough riding. The gloves therefore work to prevent either superficial or tissue injuries.You’ll notice extra thick gel pads near the base of the thumb, the edge of the hand near the ulnar nerve, and at the base of the hand near the wrist.
