3M™ Opticlude™ Orthoptic Eye Patches are used for treating childhood strabismus and amblyopia, more commonly referred to as “lazy eye”. Worn over the preferred eye, the eye patch encourages the weaker eye to function.
Featuring a hypoallergenic 3M™ Micropore™ Tape backing, Opticlude eye patches can be applied and removed easily with minimal skin trauma, whilst the pressure sensitive adhesive secures the patch throughout the occlusion period.* The non-adherent pad is absorbent and prevents lacrimal secretions adhering the pad to the surrounding skin*, whilst the Micropore tape backing allows the skin to breathe normally. In addition the thin lightweight design needs no shaping, folding or cutting.
