FAQs

Is this magnetic hoop compatible with my DMP embroidery machine?

The MaggieFrame magnetic hoop 12.4″ × 15.6″ (315 × 395 mm) is designed for DMP embroidery machine models such as CT‑1201, CT‑1202, PREMIER CT‑1201, and FT‑1210‑SC. Please verify your machine model before purchasing, and ensure the correct metal brackets are selected. When installed properly, it fits perfectly and maintains consistent embroidery quality.

What is the long-term ROI of using a MaggieFrame magnetic hoop?

Although MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery hoops cost more initially, they enhance productivity by reducing hooping time, lowering defect rates, and enabling complex designs. Typical users save minutes per hooping and reduce wasted fabric, significantly cutting labor and material costs. Over time, these gains allow the hoop to pay for itself quickly through improved workflow efficiency.

Can I create a design larger than the 12.4″ × 15.6″ (315 × 395 mm) hoop using re-hooping?

Yes. With the MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery frame, you can easily reposition fabric for continuous or oversized designs. The strong magnets hold material firmly, allowing fast re-hooping and perfect alignment across multiple segments. This is ideal for large patterns such as table runners, jacket backs, or banners on DMP machines with minimal setup time.

Can I embroider small items like baby clothes with this hoop size?

The 12.4″ × 15.6″ (315 × 395 mm) hoop is large, best suited for medium to big embroidery surfaces like sweatshirts or tote bags. Small items such as onesies or bandanas can still be hooped by floating them on stabilizer within this frame. For frequent small-scale embroidery, consider smaller MaggieFrame magnetic hoops for easier handling and tighter control.

If only it had Indiglo....
Color: Black
Terrific watch. The leather band is very comfortable right out of the box. The bezel is crisp with very little slip. The markings are very good in the dark, but I still wish for Indiglo.

Bought for my husband. He absolutely loves it. Only issue, No direction on how everything works. But he did figure it out after a couple of days playing with it.

started fogging up inside after a couple of swimming sessions
Color: Black
Unfortunately, my watch started fogging up inside after just a couple of normal swimming sessions. I rinsed it with fresh water every time afterward and dried it with a towel, but later noticed moisture building up inside, and now I have to put it in rice to pull the condensation out. On the other hand, it’s hard to find good-looking classic-style watches with tide information, so I might just keep it as an everyday accessory rather than a watch for swimming.

Great watch for a great price.
Color: Green/Green
Watch is well made and keeps time accurate. Easy to charge and just keeps going. No surprises. If you like what you see and want a solar watch go for it. Sapphire Glass too.

It was too good to be true
Color: Tan
I spoke too soon. Like with every Timex, this one was faulty, too. When the seconds hand reaches the 12 o'clock position (indicating the start of a new minute), the minutes hand should align precisely with a minute marker. That's how it should be. However, in the case of this particular watch, the minutes hand consistently lags behind, meaning it does not align correctly with the minute marker when the seconds hand hits the 12. No matter how precisely I align the minute hand when resetting the time, the minute hand eventually misaligns. Timex, I give up. ORIGINAL REVIEW: "Wow. After receiving 3 faulty, shoddily built Timex watches in a row, color me impressed. This looks good, feels good, and operates well. This is a great cheap alternative to the Khaki Field watch, IMO. The case is made of steel, not brass like many Timex watches. The glass is mineral, but here's something many watch enthusiasts don't tell you—mineral glass is more impact-resistant than sapphire crystal. Since you want a field watch to have more impact-resistant features, I'm okay with mineral glass. And here's the final bonus... the second hand actually hits all the markers. This may not be your experience, but with the one I got, it's hitting the marks perfectly. A lot of collectors obsess over specifications way too much. For me, as long as the watch functions properly, aesthetics and design are most important. And this watch has it. In person, this watch just looks really, really good. And for the price I got it at, it checks off the spec sheet too. Now, let's see how it holds up over time."
