Glass and Antique Brass Side TableThis sophisticated Glass Side Table is an exquisite piece of craftsmanship, with a timeless geometric design and a base made of solid iron with an antique brass finish. For your living space, it's a perfect companion to a reading chair and table lamp, or as an occasional table.
The glass top slots elegantly into the frame and has been sand cast–a centuries-old technique where the pattern is carved into sand and molten glass poured in. Once the glass cools, the sand is removed to reveal the cast glass, with a smooth surface and a wave-like pattern, plus small air bubbles for a beautifully textured and truly unique finish.
Size: H 51 x Dia 38 cm
Care: This product should only be used on a firm and level ground and not placed in areas of extreme heat. Do not place very hot or cold items directly onto the glass surface. Do not strike the glass with hard or pointed items. To care for your glass, use a glass cleaner or wash in warm soapy water. Metal surfaces can be cleaned using a damp cloth. Do not use anything abrasive, or use harsh chemicals on the glass or metal as this may damage the surface of the product. Dry and polish with a soft non-abrasive cloth

Part of a Set
There are three items available in Wright and Bird's massive work on the New Testament. This is the video that goes with the text and there is also a Workbook.

Video lectures, just as the subtitle promises
I was seduced into buying this set on the basis of NT Wright's reputation and advertising graphics showing Holy Land locations. Consequently, I didn't pay sufficient attention to the subtitle: "The New Testament in Its World: Video Lectures." And "lectures" is exactly what this set delivers. Talking heads, lecturing on the New Testament; sometimes in a studio, sometimes in eastern Mediterranean locations.
The content is solid evangelical biblical scholarship. My disappointment is the almost complete lack of engagement with the spectacular settings much of these films are shot in. It seems to me that Wright and his producers missed a real opportunity by failing more explicitly to relate their lecture content to the places where they're standing.
I give this set a three-star rating. The lectures are a perfectly fine introduction to the New Testament, if that's what you're looking for -- but you could put them on CDs or MP3s and listen in the car. The graphics add very little to these presentations.

Didn't get a lot out of it
My wife got me this for a Christmas present. Having previously made it through Eusebius' "Proof of the Gospel", she figured I could handle it. I know this is part of Zondervan's Academic product line and as such is not aimed at a general audience. What I discover was that if the audience lacks credentials in Philosophy or Theology, the incessant use of jargon and terminology that would most often only be encountered in a Seminary or Religious College is something I found off-putting.

Work Book
Format: Paperback
Great study tool for the book. Recommend the book and study guide for educating one to the history of the Biblical times.
