She's just walked away from her husband and teenage sons, suspecting her husband of having an affair and tired of being taken for granted. Winifred has lived in her huge family home at the top of the street for over eighty years but feels completely lost.

Now that Nell's three sons are qualified and in work, she's ready to build a new life for herself. She's been left a house in England by an elderly aunt and decides to leave Australia for a while. Her younger sons need to learn to stand on their own feet and her ex can keep an eye on them. When Angus rescues an old lady being mugged outside No 95 Peppercorn Street, Nell meets the software engineer from No 1, elderly Winifred from No 5 and single mother Janey who's lodging there.

Christmas is approaching but the mood on Peppercorn Street is anything but jolly. Claire is convinced her stalker ex will catch up with her and her young daughter, and Luke is finding that living with his estranged teenage daughter brings its own problems. When a road accident brings them together, Luke impulsively offers them shelter in his home. Will this Christmas give them the best present of all: a new family? Or will Claire's ex again cause trouble?

Fun while they lasted

I ordered two. One for each pup. Both my puppies loved this toy. The first one lasted less than a day with my pup who loves to do the death shake on everything. The second lasted two days with the other as she chews in the same spot. They loved the crinkle noise. However, I'm taking one star away due to not lasting long. Everything else was fine and they enjoyed them while they lasted. Note that most toys do not last long with my pups.

Puppy Loves this toy

My puppy is a 7wk old Great Pyrenees & Lab mix. He loves this toy! Fun for tug of war and for cuddles. Definitely worth the money. It is durable enough for razor puppy teeth.

The pooch is on Cloud No 9
Color: Blue
Lucky loves everything about this (blue) octopus. It has squeakers in all the right places and the crinkle sound adds to his fun. He’s almost 70lbs and extremely strong, and can be an aggressive player and chewer. So far, it has held up extremely well for the tug-of-war games and crazy shaking play. It’s well worth the money. I also want to mention that this toy is true to size. I have too often ordered dog toys that turned out to be much smaller than advertised.
