The Transition Networks C3220-1040 Media Converter is a compact, mission-critical device designed to bridge copper Ethernet and fiber networks with reliability and ease. It sits at the edge of your network, enabling seamless communication between legacy copper infrastructure and modern fiber backbones. This versatility makes it an ideal solution for data centers, campus networks, industrial environments, and edge deployments where distance, media type, or infrastructure upgrades would otherwise force a costly overhaul. With a single RJ-45 10/100/1000Base-T port, a flexible SFP fiber slot, a USB management interface, and an expansion slot for future growth, the C3220-1040 is built to grow as your network evolves. Its internal architecture is engineered for efficient encoding and decoding of data into light pulses and back to electrical signals, delivering dependable photoelectric conversion with low latency and robust signal integrity. The result is stable performance across mixed-media links, reduced downtime during migrations, and a straightforward upgrade path that preserves existing investments in networking hardware. Whether you need to extend reach between a core switch and a remote access point, connect a server cluster to a fiber backbone, or create redundant paths to improve resiliency, this media converter delivers the dependable, plug-and-play reliability your network demands.

  • Versatile copper-to-fiber conversion: The C3220-1040 provides a dedicated RJ-45 port that supports 10/100/1000Base-T alongside a robust SFP slot for fiber connectivity. This combination enables you to extend distances, adopt new fiber technologies, or re-route network segments without replacing switches. Automatic negotiation ensures a secure, compatible link with connected devices, while auto-MDI-X simplifies cabling by automatically correcting for straight-through or crossover configurations, reducing setup complexity and troubleshooting time.
  • Flexible fiber connectivity with an SFP slot: The SFP slot accommodates standard transceivers, allowing you to select the appropriate fiber type (single-mode or multi-mode) and distance based on your site requirements. This flexibility is ideal for campuses that span buildings, data-center corridors, or industrial facilities with varying fiber deployments. By choosing the right SFP module, you can optimize link budgets, support longer runs, or upgrade to higher-density fiber architectures without changing your copper infrastructure.
  • USB management for quick configuration: A dedicated USB port enables local setup, configuration, and firmware updates without requiring a dedicated management network. This capability is especially valuable during field deployments or maintenance windows, enabling technicians to onboard devices quickly, capture configuration snapshots, or apply firmware updates with minimal network disruption. The USB interface complements standard network-based management methods, giving you a simple, offline path to device readiness.
  • Expandable and future-ready: An expansion slot provides a pathway for future growth, letting you add new capabilities as your network evolves. This design protects your initial investment by accommodating module additions, new media types, or higher-speed interfaces without replacing the core converter. As your organization expands, the C3220-1040 can adapt to changing topology, increased bandwidth demands, and evolving IT requirements while maintaining consistent performance.
  • Reliable, efficient encoding/decoding: The C3220-1040 is engineered to optimize the process of converting data into light pulses and back to electrical signals. This internal efficiency translates into dependable photoelectric conversion, lower latency, and improved signal integrity across longer fiber links. By prioritizing stability in mixed-media deployments, the device helps minimize retransmissions, reduces error rates, and contributes to a smoother overall network experience for users and devices alike.

How to Install Transition Networks C3220-1040 Media Converter

Installing the C3220-1040 is designed to be straightforward, allowing you to bring copper and fiber networks together quickly and with minimal downtime. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth deployment and reliable operation:

  • Power down both ends of the network link before making any connections to the converter to avoid potential electrical surges or link instability during setup.
  • Connect the copper Ethernet device (switch, router, or NIC) to the RJ-45 port on the C3220-1040 using a standard Ethernet cable. Ensure the cable is securely seated and confirm link activity with the LED indicators on the front panel.
  • Insert a compatible SFP transceiver into the SFP slot, then connect the fiber optic cable to the transceiver. Verify the connection is snug and that the fiber connectors are clean and properly seated to prevent signal loss.
  • If local management or firmware updates are needed, connect a USB cable from the C3220-1040 to a computer and follow on-screen prompts or vendor-provided instructions for configuration. Otherwise, the unit should operate in a plug-and-play mode with basic link forwarding.
  • Power on the device and verify the link status on both ends of the link. Check the LED indicators for activity, link status, and speed negotiation. If the link does not initialize, recheck SFP module compatibility, fiber polarity, and cable integrity, and consult the product documentation for troubleshooting guidance.

Good for dc power supplies
Size: 6ft, Color: Yellow, Size: 6ft, Color: Yellow
The AC outlets are very snug. I’m using this primarily for battery tenders and battery chargers; the outlets are spaced far enough apart to fit the dc power supplies and they stay in place even when mounted horizontally.

27" monitor mounted easily
Style: Single Arm, Size: 13"-34", Style: Single Arm, Size: 13"-34"
I ended up getting 2 of these monitor arms for the different desks in our office, and I am happy with both of them. The arms are super easy to assemble and adjust to the tension one desires. The arms hold the position where one sets them too, and the gas pistons make it super easy to use. Each arm has a channel on the bottom that allows the wiring to be ran through and hidden, yet remaining accessible if needed. The mounting clamps hold securely and there is no wiggle whatsoever, and it is nice to have a strong feeling monitor mount. It is lightweight and compact so it doesn't feel clunky on the desk. Highly adjustable left to right, up and down, and the screen forward and backward tilt. The price is really good for the overall value and quality of the product. Just make sure to order the right mounting arm depending on the size of your monitor, and you will be fine. Nice quality and feel, and the aesthetics are great too.

Get this one!
Style: Dual Arms, Size: 13"-32", Style: Dual Arms, Size: 13"-32"
I got this dual monitor arm for my home office, and it’s been a total game changer. Having a dual monitor setup makes multitasking so much easier, especially for photo and video editing. Setup was incredibly quick (under 5 minutes), and it feels very secure once mounted. I really like how stable it is and how easy it is to adjust the height and angle. It also helped clear up a lot of desk space since I no longer need bulky monitor stands. Simple design, but it works perfectly. Highly recommend for both single and dual monitor setups. Great value for the price!

Pretty great product
Style: Dual Arms, Size: 17"-33"
Stand works great and as expected. I have a 32” monitor on one and a 26” ultra wide in the vertical position on the other. I’ve had them for a few months and they’ve held tension perfectly. Usually, I find these spring tension arms to become loose after a few months and you just tighten them back up, these are still stiff like when I first set them up, and I move them around quite often. The monitors can rotate 360 degrees and tilt up and down almost 90 degrees each way. The clamp is sturdy so you will feel comfortable making sure it’s tight on the desk. I do plan on drilling a hole to mount the desk to mount it without a clamp and will update my review when I do so. It comes with the hardware to do either mounting options. They're made entirely of metal except for the plastic cable trays that clip along the bottom of the arms. The entire build is well worth the cost and gives me more space on my desk and helps my workflow when editing photos or editing video.
