This Charming and brilliant artwork from Billy Connolly resonates deeply with the artist. Inspired by his days as a gigging folk singer, and the whole folk music scene of the 1960’s ‘Two For The Road’ shows our two heroes in full swing. Formed first in clay to capture the detailed lines of his signature style, the sculpture is then cast in stainless steel, subtly referencing Billy's time as a welder in the shipyards of Glasgow. Contrast is created between detailed and patterned areas through intricate texture and polishing to beautiful and dramatic effect, a timeless artwork from one of our time’s most original thinkers.
