The V PACK ARENA Drum Microphone Kit from sE Electronics includes one V KICK for a bass drum, three V BEATs and V CLAMPs for Toms, one V7 X for a snare, a matched pair of sE8 condensers for your overhead cymbals, and a plastic flight case with an empty space to accommodate your favorite hi-hat mic. This 7-piece microphone kit is designed to mic an entire drum kit for studio, rehearsal, and live stage applications.

sE Electronics V Kick Dynamic Percussion Instrument Microphone for Drums & Bass

Primarily designed for kick drums, floor-toms, and electric bass, the sE Electronics V Kick is a dynamic microphone with a supercardioid polar pattern. It's intended to be quite versatile, with four different tonalities thanks to two switches mounted on the rear of the mic. One switch controls the frequency content of the midrange, while the other changes the high-frequency capture of the V Kick.

Thanks to these switches, you can secure a rounded midrange with a softer high end, a scooped midrange with a defined high end—or the complete opposite: A scooped midrange with a softer high-end, or a round midrange with a softer high end. This allows you to use the mic with all sorts of styles of kick drum, from big-band jazz to aggressive metal. The same is true for basses. You can tailor this mic for something that complements a round, vintage Ampeg tone, or a more modern back-pickup style.

These switches are positioned on the rear of the mic, and this helps with live-sound functionality. With different bands switching their instruments between sets, this mic can be of service in keeping changeover time to a minimum in club venues.

At the heart of the V Kick is its DMC7 SB capsule, which utilizes an aluminum voice coil for a transient-rich sound and a bottom end extending low enough to record the fundamental frequencies of kick drums and basses. Its supercardioid pickup pattern ensures little bleed, helping you isolate the sound-source from other drums or cymbals. The capsule is suspended inside the mic to keep it decoupled from mechanical vibration, shocks, jolts, and other issues.

The mic's all-metal housing is rugged, making the mic suitable for live use on the road. A gold-plated XLR connector helps to provide a reliable signal connection. With a windscreen built into the mic, it's already internally protected against winds, plosives, and extraneous noise. A black windscreen and a knurled nut for third-party mounting kits are included.

sE Electronics V Beat Dynamic Percussion Instrument Microphone

Designed for use with snare drums and toms, the sE Electronics V Beat is a dynamic, supercardioid microphone. It offers a low-profile design that attaches easily to the rim of drum heads. Not only does the mic provide a highly accurate, naturalistic audio capture—it also keeps cables out the drummer's line of sight and makes it easier for them to maneuver around the kit without fear of accidentally striking a mic head.

At the heart of the V Beat is its DMC7 X capsule, which utilizes an aluminum voice coil for a transient-rich sound and a bottom end extending low enough to record the fundamental frequencies of toms and snares. Its supercardioid pickup pattern ensures little bleed, helping you isolate the sound-source from other drums or cymbals. The capsule is suspended inside the mic to keep it decoupled from mechanical vibration, shocks, jolts, and other issues.

sE Electronics V CLAMP Quick-Mounting Drum Mic Clamp

The sE Electronics V CLAMP is a mount designed to add more flexibility when mounting drum mics to drum heads, particularly those in the V BEAT series. The V CLAMP secures to the rim of a snare or tom drum by means of its elastic clip, while the cylindrical metal tube allows you to move attached V-Series microphones on a vertical plane. With the V CLAMP, you can position the mic further away from the drum if you want to get more air and bloom around the sound, or mic it in tight and close. At the bottom of the rod is a small hole, which you can use with a tie clip for cable organization.

sE Electronics sE8 Small-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

The sE Electronics sE8 is is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone with a hand-made, gold-sputtered cardioid capsule. Suitable for live and recording scenarios, the microphone has been engineered to provide a balanced, transparent, and natural sound, as well as a detailed transient response.

The sE8 boasts inherently low self-noise for capturing audio in particularly quiet situations. It also sports an SPL high enough to handle drums, and a dynamic range large enough to handle record triple-piano to triple-forte velocities accurately.

Two switchable pre-attenuation pads are on hand, should you encounter particularly loud sound sources; one will shave off 10 dB, while the other will attenuate 20 dB. You'll also note a switchable low-pass filter that rolls off low end at either 80 Hz or 160 Hz at 6 dB per octave.

To enhance durability—and to reject electrical interference and noise—the sE8 sports an all-metal chassis. The gold-plated, 3-pin XLR connector ensures signal reliability for a long time to come. Handcrafted and hand-tuned, microphone comes with a mic clip, a thread adapter, and a windscreen.

Trim me up
The trimmer works as described. It arrived as promised, it manicured my 80 ft linear ft in no time. I ran 2 passes because I hadn’t done it in decades.

Great edger
This is a great lightweight and portable edger. It’s much easier to use than a gasoline powered model. The only limiting factor is the length of the electric cord. It does a great job and make sure your driveways and sidewalk look manicured.

Awesome edger
This is our second purchase of this product. We had the first one for over ten years and we ended up breaking it(our fault). Immediately bought same one. This is a reliable machine. It goes right through thick weeds and rock hard dirt to edge a lawn or trench. Like I said our previous one lasted ten years and worked just as well in year ten never replaced the blade once. This one came with a back up blade as well which is a bonus. Highly recommend this. Easy to assemble. Takes five minutes. Durable. Powerful. There is hieght adjustment as well. Well worth the price!

Nice Edger as long as the blade doesn't come loose -- and it will come loose, repeatedly!
Probably could've/should've rated this 2 stars yet it works well when it works. I purchased this edger to edge my drive and sidewalks and not for trenching. The edger arrived very quickly after I ordered it (I am not a Prime member so this was a nice surprise). Assembly was easy and straight-forward. The first use went smoothly and the edger performed flawlessly and provided clean, smooth edging. About 20 minutes into the second use I noticed that the edger was cutting and quickly determined that the blade was spinning freely -- fortunately the hex nut was still attached to the threaded shaft. I reviewed the manual that came with the edger, grabbed the correct sized socket and torque wrench. I removed the hex nut, the first washer, the blade and then the second washer. To install I followed the directions ensuring that the flats of the washer aligned with the flat on the shaft and tightened the hex nut to the specified 140 in-lbs. The edger worked well for about 10 minutes and the blade once again became loose. This time I replaced the original blade (which did not need to be replaced from a wear perspective) with a new B&D blade and new washers. Once again I followed the instructions and this time the edger performed flawlessly until about 5 minutes remaining in my edging when once again the blade came loose. my experience has most certainly been frustrating to say the least. one should not need to carry a socket and torque wrench with them and repeatedly need to tighten the blade. So, when the edger performs as intended it does an excellent job at edging; however I have no confidence that this edger will be able to perform as intended throughout repeated uses and more importantly has shown that it cannot complete my edging without requiring tightening the blade (which requires disassembly down to the second keyed washer). Potential buyers should be prepared for this experience and make your decision accordingly. Note: I tried contacting black and decker via twitter (@blackdeckerhome) and never received a response; I could not find a separate customer service/support twitter account. Trying to contact customer service via the phone these days is an exercise in patience to say the least.
