Led by frontman Richard Ashcroft and driven by the return of guitarist Nick McCabe, Urban Hymns features some of the group's most enduring work, including “Bitter Sweet Symphony,” “The Drugs Don’t Work,” “Lucky Man,” and “Sonnet.” The album topped charts across Europe, sold over 11 million copies in the UK alone, and earned multiple Brit Awards, including Best Album and Best Producer.

Acclaimed for its emotional depth, lush arrangements, and anthemic singles, Urban Hymns helped close the chapter on Britpop while influencing a wave of introspective rock that followed. It remains one of the defining British albums of the 1990s.
