The Panasonic 7.60 mm to 167 mm Varifocal Lens delivers unmatched versatility for security, surveillance, and machine-vision applications. With a powerful 22x optical zoom, this lens covers a sweeping 7.6 mm to 167 mm focal range, allowing you to capture broad scene context and precise close-ups without swapping lenses. Its precision varifocal design provides accurate framing and consistent image quality across the entire zoom range, making it ideal for monitoring wide areas, entrances, parking lots, perimeters, and critical detail capture in high-traffic environments. The aperture range of f/2.5 to f/1.8 enhances light gathering from day to night or in challenging lighting, helping preserve image clarity and contrast when illumination is limited. Built for reliability in demanding settings, this Panasonic lens is a trusted choice for professional CCTV installations, industrial automation, and other applications where dependable, high-quality optics matter.

  • Extreme focal flexibility: 7.6 mm to 167 mm span lets you cover wide scenes and distant subjects with a single, compact lens, reducing the need for frequent lens changes in dynamic environments.
  • Bright, variable aperture: f/2.5 at the wide end and f/1.8 at the tele end deliver better low-light performance and deeper depth of field control across the zoom range, helping maintain sharp subjects in varying lighting conditions.
  • Precise varifocal performance: The continuously adjustable focal length supports accurate framing and consistent image geometry, which is essential for surveillance accuracy and machine-vision measurements.
  • Seamless integration for security systems: Designed for compatibility with standard camera mounts and control workflows, enabling straightforward integration into existing CCTV, IP, or analog setups without sacrificing image fidelity.
  • Robust build for demanding environments: Engineered to withstand the rigors of daily security operations, delivering reliable performance in commercial installations, outdoor enclosures, and facility monitoring.

How to install Panasonic 7.60 mm to 167 mm Varifocal Lens

Installing this Panasonic varifocal lens is a straightforward process designed to fit common security camera configurations while preserving image quality and ease of use. Begin by identifying a compatible lens mount on your camera body or enclosure. Verify that the thread or mount diameter matches the lens you are installing and gather any adapters or mounting rings required by your specific camera system. For a clean setup, power down the camera and disconnect any power or data cables before making changes to the lens assembly.

  • Prepare the camera and workspace: Ensure the camera is powered off, secured, and that the mounting surface is clean and free of debris to avoid misalignment.
  • Remove the existing lens (if applicable): If you are replacing a lens, carefully loosen mounting screws or retaining ring, then remove the old lens without forcing components. Save screws for reuse if compatible.
  • Attach the new varifocal lens: Align the lens with the camera’s mount, rotate to engage threads or locking mechanism, and hand-tighten. Avoid overtightening, which can damage threads or distort alignment.
  • Secure and connect control interfaces: If your lens supports remote zoom or focus control through a controller or camera interface, connect the appropriate data or control cables according to the camera’s documentation. Ensure any weatherproof seals remain intact if the unit is installed in an outdoor enclosure.
  • Power up and calibrate: Restore power, then access the camera’s live view. Sanitize the field of view by focusing and zooming to the desired framing. Use test patterns or known targets to check focus accuracy across the focal range, adjusting as needed for consistent sharpness from wide to tele.
  • Fine-tune and verify performance: Make minor adjustments to position, zoom, and focus to eliminate vignetting or distortion. Confirm exposure and white balance in your environment, and verify that the lens maintains image quality under typical lighting scenarios.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
