Unlock flexible projector positioning with the Chief SLB257 Mounting Bracket for Projector. This interface bracket is the essential adapter for installations using Chief's RPA, RPM, and Smart-Lift mounts. The SLB257 ensures robust, repeatable alignment and a clean ceiling or wall aesthetic by keeping the projector close to the mounting plane while preserving full access to connectors and cables. Built for reliability in education, corporate, and hospitality environments, the SLB257 is engineered to withstand everyday use in high-traffic rooms, with a design that integrates seamlessly into existing Chief ecosystems. When upgrading or configuring a complete system, choosing the correct interface bracket is critical to performance, durability, and serviceability. The SLB257 delivers consistent mounting precision, easy maintenance, and compatibility with a wide range of projector models, making it a smart choice for installers who demand efficiency and dependability. The bracket is part of Chief's broader modular mounting solution, enabling quick interchangeability if you update devices or projectors without replacing the entire mounting system. With the SLB257, you benefit from simplified installation workflows, faster deployment timelines, and a secure, professional presentation setup that can adapt to future needs.

  • Compatibility with Chief Mounts: Specifically designed to work with Chief RPA, RPM, and Smart-Lift Series Mounts, providing a reliable interface that preserves the integrity of the mounting system. For Smart-Lift installations, SLB brackets must be ordered separately, ensuring you have precisely the right adapter for your setup. RPA and RPM mounts already include the correct SLB bracket, simplifying procurement and installation, and reducing the risk of mismatched components in the field.
  • Smart-Lift Integration: The SLB257 plays a crucial role in Smart-Lift configurations, enabling secure attachment and seamless integration with the lift mechanism. Ordering the appropriate SLB bracket for Smart-Lift ensures smooth operation, precise alignment, and hassle-free maintenance over the life of the installation.
  • Durable Construction: Crafted from high-strength materials with a durable finish, the SLB257 is built to endure frequent use and environmental variations typical in conference rooms, classrooms, and corporate lobbies. The rugged design minimizes flex and wear, supporting long-term projector stability and image quality.
  • Precision Alignment and Accessibility: The interface bracket is engineered to maintain precise projection alignment while keeping access to essential ports and cables. Its thoughtful geometry supports clean cable management and easy serviceability, helping technicians achieve reliable, repeatable results during install and future upgrades.
  • Modular, Future-Ready Solution: As part of Chief's modular ecosystem, the SLB257 enables straightforward updates and reconfigurations. Installers can swap projectors or upgrade mounts without replacing the entire system, protecting your investment and reducing downtime during technology refreshes.

How to Install Chief SLB257 Mounting Bracket for Projector

  • Verify that your projector and Chief mount (RPA, RPM, or Smart-Lift) are compatible with the SLB257 interface bracket, and confirm whether a separate SLB bracket is required for Smart-Lift configurations.
  • Disconnect power and ensure the installation area is clear. Gather the necessary tools and fasteners compatible with your mount and projector pattern.
  • Attach the SLB257 bracket to the Chief mount using the manufacturer’s recommended holes and fasteners. Align the bracket with the mounting pattern on the projector, ensuring a secure, level connection.
  • Secure the projector to the bracket with the appropriate screws, following the projector’s mounting template. Tighten to the recommended torque to avoid over-tightening or slippage while maintaining clean cable management access.
  • Attach any required cables through the bracket’s access points, verify alignment, and perform a final stability check. Reconnect power, test, and adjust tilt, rotation, and keystone as needed for optimal image alignment.
  • Conduct a final inspection to ensure all fasteners remain tight after initial use, and confirm that the projector operates smoothly within the mount’s range of motion. Document the installation for future maintenance or component refreshes.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: What is the purpose of the SLB257 Mounting Bracket?

A: The SLB257 is an interface bracket that enables secure attachment of projectors to Chief mounting systems, specifically supporting RPA, RPM, and Smart-Lift configurations. Good, but not great.
Format: Paperback
Kudos to Lepore for delving into an important, little known subject, which she does better than most historians. At times, however, I think she felt the need to put every little piece of information she got into the book. It was way too long. Some good research, but she has done better. Still, worth checking out. I like to think I know American history, but I know nothing about this awful chapter.

DAMN, this is a great book!
Format: Hardcover
All history books should be this detailed, this readable, this humane. Lepore knows how to write about a horrible, nearly forgotten episode in NYC history. Unlike many historians, she steps away from overt politics or raw emotion. She knows that this subject is too serious to be shouted. It is the rare history book that is packed with facts as well as knowledge. I felt like Lepore was taking my hand and leading me through the smelly streets of lower Manhattan in 1741, like I could almost see the faces of...what were they, anyway? The victims of a horrible hoax? The demented planners of a plot to burn the city? Or something in between, where thieves can also be the keepers of ancient rites from a distant homeland, where the world is turned upside down? I could go on and on, but just buy the book!

New York Burning
Format: Paperback
. This is an important book that explores in depth what is usually only found in textbooks as a one-sentence summation: "In 1741 there was a slave uprising in New York City." Scholars will probably be happier starting with the Appendix and bibliography and then reading the book. The text is disorganized and uneven, and although this is non-fiction, the characters could have been more finely drawn. Peter Zenger's trail keeps popping up in unexpected places, often disconnected from the action the author is working on. Some sections are heavy on primary documents and period writings, others are more poetic. Yes, I do understand the parallels with the Salem Witch Trials. The Salem Witch Trials get more press today because of Arthur Miller's "Crucible." Color and religion of the participants aside, both events are stories of group think and mass hysteria, fear and anger. There is plenty of room here for a first-class film or play to be written. Read this book, learn from it. Expect to complain about it. Kim Burdick Stanton, DE

What You Didn't Know
Format: Paperback
Did you know that if you were a Catholic Priest on the streets of New York in 1747 that you'd be arrested and hung! Great book if you're interested in the times during which our founding Fathers were growing up. It'll give you a different concept on how slavery was different in NYC as opposed to in the South, and how many of the streets in NYC got there names from English magistrates. If you like history, especially of NYC, you'll love this book.

Affordable and gets the job done
Format: Paperback
This is a great book. It gets the job done. It's clear and concise about the important concepts. The authors really edit the cases so that only the important and relevant stuff without the other fluff. I think that this book is better than other expensive textbooks. I don't think anyone didn't love this book. 100% would encourage professors to assign this book.
