Released in November 2014, Avonmore is the fifteenth studio album by Bryan Ferry. Named after the London location of his studio, the record finds Ferry working once again with longtime collaborator Rhett Davies and a cast of regular contributors, including Nile Rodgers, Marcus Miller, Fonzi Thornton, and Johnny Marr, who co-wrote “Soldier of Fortune.” The album also includes two covers: Stephen Sondheim’s Send in the Clowns and Robert Palmer’s Johnny and Mary, reimagined with Norwegian producer Todd Terje.

Musically, Avonmore evokes the sleek, urbane atmosphere of Ferry’s classic 1980s work, blending refined pop, lush arrangements, and subtle electronic textures. It peaked at number 19 on the UK Albums Chart and number 72 in the US.
