  In many ways, Silly Not Silly continues along the same sonic path as the band’s 2024 debut That’s Amore. Recording, mixing and mastering were once again handled by Yuri Pierini, whose work helped define the raw but melodic sound of the trio. The influences remain similar too, rooted in garage rock, power pop and DIY energy. What changes, perhaps, is the songwriting: the new songs feel more reflective in tone. Even the brightest and most open moments carry subtle traces of melancholy, small shadows hiding beneath the surface. For SNÜFF, the DIY spirit remains central to everything they do. In today’s collapsing record market, DIY practices are often a necessity rather than a romantic choice. But for the band it is also about intention and shared decisions. Each step is shaped through discussion and the meeting of different sensitivities within the trio. DIY, for them, is not about rigid rules or obsessive control.
