Now that you've finally got your hands on a Raspberry Pi® , you're probably itching to make some fun embedded computer projects with it. What you need is an add on prototyping Pi Plate from Adafruit, which can snap onto the Pi PCB (and is removable later if you wish) and gives you all sorts of prototyping goodness to make building on top of the Pi super easy.
We added lots of basic but essential goodies. First up, there's a big prototyping area, half of which is 'breadboard' style and half of which is 'perfboard' style so you can wire up DIP chips, sensors, and the like. Along the edges of the proto area, all the GPIO/I2C/SPI and power pins are broken out to 0.1" stips so you can easily connect to them. On the edges of the prototyping area, all of the breakout pins are also connected to labeled 3.5mm screw-terminal blocks. This makes it easy to semi-permanently wire in sensors, LEDs, etc. There's also a 4-block terminal block broken out to 0.1" pads for general non-GPIO wiring. Finally, we had a little space remaining over the metal connectors so we put in an SOIC surface mount chip breakout area, for those chips that dont come in DIP format.
This kit comes as a set of parts, a little soldering is required to put it together but its really easy, even a beginner can do it in 15-20 minutes or so. The Pi (and our kits) are meant to help us all learn skills, soldering is fun! Check out our tutorial for how to assemble.
The nice thing about this plate is we're getting custom header breakouts that are taller than usual, so that the proto plate sits above the metal connectors, out of the way and allows for plenty of workspace. It fits in our Pi Box enclosure with access to the terminal blocks so you can keep the Pi safe while prototyping. We'll have stackable header kits as well for those who want to put multiple plates on top.

Subtle but works!!
Okay there are PRICEY for the small amount you receive. I believe they work for sure and will buy them again but which they would put a FEW MORE in a pack because they are not like miracle patched and you definitely need two packs to see a significant difference.

Did nothing for hyperpigmentation, worked well on active blemish
I use these for an active blemish and they work well for reducing inflammation and redness. They are marketed for hyperpigmentation, but they didn’t seem to have much of an effect on lingering redness from an old breakout after a few uses so I decided to use them on a whitehead that popped up on my chin. I bought two packages and had passed the return window so I figured couldn’t hurt. After a few hours with this patch on, the whitehead and surrounding redness virtually disappeared. They are almost invisible on the skin IF you can remove them from their clamshell packaging without scrunching up and wrinkling the edge of patch. BIG IF!!! Most of the time I mess up the edge of the patch making the wrinkled edge visible on my face. I wear them around the house so I don’t really care about that, but it’s worth mentioning. You have to remove them from the packaging VERY carefully to keep the patch smooth. I’ve been mostly unsuccessful at removing them without scrunching up an edge. Oh well.
Peach Slices makes a similar product for acne, “deep blemish microdarts”. I haven’t tried those, nor do I plan to because the amount of product that you get for either kind of micro dart is not a good value to me. I wish these were less expensive. I do like the way the micro dart feels when you apply it- kind of a satisfying stinging sensation- like the ingredients are really penetrating. I would not call it painful. A moment of sting and it’s on there doing it’s job. It stays on well while doing basic daily activities (like doing the dishes, working at a desk). Can’t say how it would hold up to something more vigorous like a jog or bike ride or anything that would make you break a sweat. I like the product and the result on blemishes, but I can’t justify the cost. A warm compress and followed by a vitamin C serum on a blemish works just as well and it’s way more cost effective, albeit less convenient.
Also, the ingredients in the product description are incomplete. See photo- they contain Butylene Glycol which is sometimes irritating to my skin. Luckily, these patches didn’t irritate me. Having to 3rd party check the ingredients for cosmetics from Amazon irritates me though 😒
If these are affordable for you for the occasional blemish, I would recommend. Did nothing for hyperpigmentation and way too expensive for me to combat a full breakout or even a daily random pimple. I’ll use the ones I have but would not purchase again.

Didn’t Work for Me
This purchase was a complete waste of time and money for me. The dots did absolutely nothing to reduce the color of a sun spot on my cheek. I used them according to the instructions for consecutive days. The dots are gone, but the spot on my skin remains as dark as before. Maybe they work better for pimple discoloration.

Very Effective!
I have enjoyed all of the Peach Slices products I’ve purchased so far. These are by far my favorite. I noticed a difference after leaving one of these on overnight on a red spot where a pimple had been. It was probably 50% lighter the next day. They are very pliable and hardly noticeable on your skin. I just wish more than 9 came in a package.
