When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or “floated” outside of it?
Both methods can be used effectively with the MaggieFrame 6.5″ × 6.5″ (165 × 165 mm) hoop for Sister embroidery machines. Most users sandwich the fabric with stabilizer inside the magnetic embroidery hoops for optimal fabric tension. However, for bulky or delicate garments, “floating” the stabilizer underneath the bottom frame helps prevent stretching and distortion during embroidery.
Why is my fabric puckering in the center during embroidery, even though I hooped it tightly with the magnetic frame?
Puckering usually stems from an unsuitable stabilizer rather than hoop tension. When using the MaggieFrame embroidery machine hoop, ensure the stabilizer matches the fabric type—cut-away for knits or tear-away for wovens.
