A scarcely seen, wooden perpetual wall or mantel calendar. This is piece is quite unusual as it is larger than the standard size that we have found in the past.

Notable for their simple Modernist design and distinctive Gill Sans typeface. These calender's were manufactured in various sizes throughout the 1940s and 1950s and often found in Post Offices, Factories and Court Houses.

The case is constructed from a combination of solid wood sides with veneer faced front and ply back. The day, date and month rolls are all printed on linen. These are protected by glazed windows. The knobs to the side are bronzed and knurled.

This piece would make a great talking piece within the home or would work equally well as a stylists prop or as part of a retail display or production set design.

Condition:
In very good, fully working, vintage condition. Original glazed front and hanging plate. The linen is in very good clean condition and the rollers turn well. The case has minimal wear as to be expected for its age.
