A batch of five ex-bourbon hogsheads from Blair Athol distillery was used to create this single malt, distilled in 2009 and aged for more than 11 years.

Nose - Like a Friday night treat – fruit-and-nut milk chocolate, immediately replaced by butter shortbread biscuits, left to cool on a baking tray. A waft of cinnamon lollipops appears, hinting at the comforting spice to come.

Palate - Crumbly ginger snaps and Kent-honey-chocolate truffles abound at first sip. This moves onto a smattering of buttery caramelised cashew nuts and a sprinkle of crushed aniseed. Fudge-sauce-smothered pancakes arrive to envelop the senses.

Finish - Cream crackers and thick slices of smooth, nutty Comte cheese linger with notes of baking spice.
