Victron MPPT WireBox-L Tr: Professional Terminal Protection for Solar Charge Controllers

Enhanced Safety and Clean Installation for Your Solar Power System

The Victron MPPT WireBox-L Tr is a purpose-built terminal cover designed to add an extra layer of safety and a professional finish to your solar charge controller installation. By enclosing all DC terminals, it prevents accidental contact with live connections, making it an essential accessory for systems installed in general access areas such as caravans, RVs, marine vessels, and off-grid sheds. This durable enclosure not only reduces the risk of short circuits and electrical hazards but also provides effective cable strain relief and tidy cable management, ensuring your setup remains secure and visually clean.

Engineered specifically for Victron SmartSolar and BlueSolar MPPT 150/60-Tr, 150/70-Tr, 250/60-Tr, and 250/70-Tr charge controllers, the WireBox-L Tr integrates seamlessly with your existing hardware. Its impact-resistant black plastic construction is built to withstand the rigours of mobile and stationary environments, while the snap-on design allows for quick, tool-free installation. Whether you are upgrading an existing system or commissioning a new one, the WireBox-L Tr delivers peace of mind by keeping your wiring protected and your connections out of sight.

Key Features

  • Encloses all DC terminals to prevent accidental contact with live connections
  • Durable, impact-resistant black plastic construction for long-term reliability
  • Integrated cable entry points for neat, organised wiring and strain relief
  • Custom-fit design for Victron MPPT 150/60-Tr, 150/70-Tr, 250/60-Tr, and 250/70-Tr models ensures a precise, secure fit
  • Quick snap-on mounting requires no additional tools for installation
  • Ideal for installations in general access areas, including caravans, boats, and public spaces

Why Choose the Victron WireBox-L Tr?

In any solar installation, exposed DC terminals pose a safety risk, particularly in environments where untrained individuals or children may be present. The Victron WireBox-L Tr mitigates this risk by completely covering the terminal area, reducing the chance of accidental shorts, corrosion from environmental exposure, and inquisitive contact. Compared to generic terminal covers, the WireBox-L Tr is precision-engineered to match the exact dimensions and cable entry points of compatible Victron controllers, ensuring a flawless fit without compromising ventilation or accessibility for maintenance.

For installers, the WireBox-L Tr simplifies compliance with Australian electrical safety standards by providing a robust physical barrier. It also enhances the aesthetic of the installation, concealing unsightly wiring and creating a clean, professional appearance that reflects the quality of the Victron ecosystem. The thoughtful design includes removable cable entry inserts that accommodate various cable diameters, allowing for flexible routing while maintaining a sealed, protected enclosure.

Applications

The Victron MPPT WireBox-L Tr is suitable for a wide range of solar installations, including:

  • Caravan and RV solar systems where space is tight and safety is paramount
  • Marine and coastal environments requiring protection from salt mist and moisture
  • Off-grid cabins and sheds with public or family access
  • Commercial and industrial solar arrays where professional finish is expected
  • Educational and demonstration setups where terminals must be guarded

By adding a WireBox-L Tr to your Victron MPPT charge controller, you are investing in a safer, more reliable, and better-looking solar power system. It is a small addition that makes a significant difference in both safety and presentation.

Ready to Upgrade Your Installation?

Enhance the safety and appearance of your Victron solar charge controller today. Add the Victron MPPT WireBox-L Tr to your order and enjoy a cleaner, more secure solar setup that is built to last.

A Textbook for My Students
Format: Kindle
I'm an adjunct instructor for several institutions where I teach adults how to design and develop software using various IDEs and languages. As a former military officer, I've come to appreciate the idea of ensuring my troops have all the training and gear they'll need to get the job done. Patrick exemplifies that spirit in his series, "From Zero to Proficiency." After reading his first two books in the series, I've decided that I'll use them in the Fall term to teach my students game development with Unity. The lessons are easy to follow, yet provide powerful impact upon game development. I've never come across any other author who continues to provide weekly support to his readers and Patrick Felicia does. He even solicits us to learn what we'd like for him to teach next. If you want to learn Unity from someone who actually knows how to teach it, I recommend his books. I read a lot of technical books, so I seriously appreciate it when an author can clearly convey knowledge in an easy-going manner that is technically correct. I'm very happy with these books and am sure my students will be too.

Step by Step
Format: Kindle
This series of books has step by step instructions that are easy to follow. There are lots of pictures to verify you are doing things correctly. I have done three books in this series so far (Foundations, Beginner, and Platform). Before starting the books, I had some coding background, but no experience with Unity. Each book covers a manageable amount of information. There is so much to learn, but the author does well to stick to key points to not make the reader feel overwhelmed.

Seriously needs a proofreader
Format: Paperback
The content in this series is good, but the presentation is in need of a proofreader. There are so many typos and wrong words (ignoring that it's UK English). It's like the author typed what he heard in his head, but the words are something different. For example, a section introduces the "Package Manager," which is then inconsistently called the "Packet Manager." Or "research term" instead of "search term." Or "PlayGround" in the text when it's clearly "playground" in the figure. Even the provided resources are misspelled: "Sdandard Assets" in the code and the screenshots in the book. How does this go unnoticed? Programming isn't tolerant of these things.

Great Beginner's book.
Format: Kindle
I really like Pat's approach to learn Unity. I'm working my way through his books, just finish this one (second in the series). I've tried to learn Unity in the past and fail and now I know why. Pat's walks you from the beginning, you learn how to build games from a blank canvas and putting all pieces together. It's a step by step approach so you are never wondering how to get to a certain stage. If you are new to Unity and Programming strongly suggest you starting with book 1 "foundation" and then move to this one.
