I did very meticulous cleaning and drying and then applied this ointment. At least twice daily. And in just a few days my skin was healing. I'd say less than a week and I was back to normal. Great product but it's not Vegan. As a nutritioist and vegetarian, I'm aware that true Vegans do not eat/use anything containing animals or animal by-producs. Everything else always says "itch relief" and contains strong chemicals which I prefer to not use, especially on my face. After just a couple weeks, the scaly skin is gone and the red is getting lighter every day. It smells very nice as well.
