De Taylor Builder's Edition 814ce Adirondack Spruce is de meest uitgesproken versie van Taylors iconische 814ce. Waar de standaard 814ce al een referentiepunt is in de akoestische gitaarbouw, tilt de Adirondack Spruce top het instrument naar een ander niveau. Adirondack, ook wel Red Spruce genoemd, is de toonhoutsoort die de grote pre-war gitaren hun legendarische klank gaf: stijver dan Sitka, met een hogere stiffness-to-weight ratio, wat resulteert in meer volume, meer dynamisch bereik en een rijker spectrum aan boventonen.

Indian Rosewood rug en zijkanten geven de 814ce zijn kenmerkende diepte en helderheid. De combinatie met Adirondack Spruce zorgt voor een gitaar die krachtig reageert op aanslag, breed projecteert en toch de articulatie en balans behoudt waarvoor de Grand Auditorium body bekend staat. De V-Class Relief Rout bracing optimaliseert de resonantie van de top en geeft de gitaar extra sustain en intonatieprecisie over het volledige register. De rosewood armsteun verhoogt het speelcomfort aanzienlijk.

De Builder's Edition afwerking betekent afgeronde kanten, een comfortabele armsteun en extra aandacht voor detail. Het ES2 pickup systeem levert een natuurgetrouwe versterkte sound. De gitaar wordt geleverd met een luxe hardshell case.

Second Best Bifold I’ve Owned

I’ve gone through a lot of wallets over the years (cheap ones, expensive ones, slim cardholders, you name it), and this Timberland bifold with the attached flip pocket is easily the best all-around wallet I’ve ever carried. The leather is excellent: full-grain, soft right out of the box, and it’s aged beautifully in just a few months with a rich patina that actually looks better with every scratch and scuff. Layout is perfect for me. Six card slots plus the two slip pockets behind them handle everything I need (10 cards + a few folded bills) without getting bulky. The attached flip ID window is a game-changer; I keep my driver’s license and work badge there and can show either in seconds without opening the wallet. Cash fits easily in the full-length bill compartment. It’s genuinely slim for a traditional leather bifold, sits comfortably in both front and back pockets, and never feels like a brick. The embossed Timberland logo is subtle and classy. At this point I can’t imagine switching to anything else. It’s durable, functional, looks sharp, and was a fraction of the price of some “luxury” wallets that didn’t last half as long. If you want a classic leather bifold that actually delivers, this is it. 100% recommended; already planning to buy another as a backup.
