In addition to high-quality ingredients, the most important thing you need for a fine loaf of bread is time. Time and rest are vital to allow the dough to prove after it has been kneaded and shaped, and before it is baked. 

These high-quality proving baskets are the perfect accessory for bakers, pastry chefs, restaurant staff and caterers. A proving basket provides a place for the dough to rest but is also a practical and convenient way to transport dough while it is proving, for example if it needs to be taken to a nearby branch.

The thermohauser proving baskets are made from white, food-safe polyethylene (PE). They are designed with practical ventilation slits, which promote the proving process, keeping the dough light and flexible as it rises.

The plastic proving baskets are designed to be high quality, durable and very robust. They can easily be washed in a dishwasher or under hot, running water.

The proving baskets come in three sizes between 500 g and 1500 g, and each size is available in a classic round or oval loaf shape. The smallest sizes come in a fresh green colour, the medium sizes are a cheerful orange, and the largest proving baskets are a brilliant blue, which makes them easy to identify from the colour alone. 

Important information: proving baskets are exclusively designed for shaping and proving dough. The dough must be removed before baking as the plastic proving baskets are NOT suitable for baking in the oven!
