Overview:
The Red Line Lizard Tetra is a sleek, fast-moving, and uniquely patterned schooling fish that brings energy and elegance to planted community aquariums. With its slender, torpedo-shaped body, metallic silver flanks, and a vibrant red stripe running from the snout through the eye to the mid-body, this species offers a subtle yet striking contrast in a natural setup.

Origin:
Native to clearwater rivers of the Amazon Basin, particularly in Brazil and Peru, Iguanodectes geisleri inhabits slow-to-moderate flow streams, often among submerged vegetation and root systems.

Feeding:
Omnivorous and easy to feed. Offer a diet of high-quality micro pellets or flakes, supplemented with live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. They appreciate finely crushed plant-based foods as well.

Tank Mates:
Very peaceful and social, perfect for planted community tanks. Best kept in groups of 6 or more. Ideal companions include small tetras, rasboras, pencilfish, Apistogramma, Corydoras, and peaceful dwarf gouramis.

Water Parameters:

  • Temperature: 74–80°F (23–27°C)
  • pH: 6.0–7.2
  • Soft to moderately hard water
  • Minimum Tank Size: 20–30 gallons
  • Enjoys planted tanks with open swimming space and gentle flow

Behavior & Personality:

  • Active mid-water swimmers
  • Thrive in groups—schooling behavior reduces stress and enhances color
  • Non-aggressive and ideal for peaceful, natural-style aquascapes

Special Notes:

  • Best coloration is seen in mature fish and well-maintained tanks
  • Use dim or natural lighting to enhance red stripe and body sheen
  • Rarely found in mainstream pet stores—a unique choice for nano-biotope or South American setups

The Red Line Lizard Tetra is an understated gem for hobbyists looking to add a refined, energetic shoaling fish to a peaceful freshwater aquarium. Its slender build, flashing red line, and smooth movement make it a favorite for nature-style aquascapes and softwater communities.

Great customer support, but blurry underwater for me.
Color: Blue Hawaii
I'm a casual lap swimmer who swims 30 minutes every day. Needed some decent goggles and saw the Aegend brand was a highly rated bestseller. I first ordered the mirrored version of this lens which is essentially identical to this clear version. Was really excited to hit the pool when I received the goggles. Love the strap system on these Aegends which adjust on the back and has a quick release button...my other goggles have a little short strap that adjusts at the temple and it drives me crazy. Goggles are very comfortable and never fogged up during my swim. Nice field of view. What's the issue then? These goggles are perfectly fine and clear above water, but blurry underwater. The blurriness is like a prism effect. My local YMCA has small tiles and with these goggles the tile lines were duplicated several times over. The effect isn't bad and perhaps some may be able to live with it, but it was annoying to me. Contacted Aegend customer service and they asked if I was myopic (no) and offered to send a replacement free of charge including a choice of couple different models. I chose instead to return the mirrored version and rebuy this clear one thinking perhaps the mirrored tint had something to do with it. Second pair of goggles arrived and same thing--clear above water and blurry underwater. Aegend says not everybody's eyeballs are built the same and again offered to replace the goggle free of charge including to their flat lens which shouldn't have the blurry prism effect. I declined since I know the strap design on their flat lens goggle would drive me crazy. So in summary--these goggles are great and customer support is first rate. But I cannot give the goggles 5 stars since they didn't work for my eye profile and caused everything underwater to be blurry. Doesn't seem like the majority of people buying these goggles have the same issue though so I wouldn't hesitate buying them to see if they work for you. UPDATE 2/14/17. I'm revising my review to 5-stars. Aegend once again contacted me and tried to make things right. They had another swim goggles with the clasp on the back like the one for this product but with a flat lens (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MTXI8SV). These new goggle work great and are clear underwater. Can't say enough about a company that stands by their products like Aegend.

Excellent Goggles — Comfortable, Secure, and No Leaks
Color: Aqua
These goggles are excellent quality and were very easy to adjust. They have good suction and fit nice and tight without being uncomfortable and stayed secure the entire time I was swimming. Not much for style, but these do look pretty cool. I wore them for about an hour with no issues at all—they remained comfortable and didn’t leak, which is a huge plus. The seal held up well without leaving painful pressure marks. The included case is also a great bonus and makes storage and travel easy. Overall, a very solid pair of goggles that perform exactly as expected. Definitely recommend.

Hard Nose Bridge
Color: Blue-black
They seem like nice goggles. I would echo what others have said: The nose bridge is made of hard plastic with two little bumps on each side (conceivably to snap the lens into the nose bridge) that very well may press into your nose, making the goggles uncomfortable to wear. I would look for a pair with a soft nose bridge. I previously owned a pair of Aegend swim goggles with a soft nose bridge that I liked.
