6g Citrulline, 200mg Caffeine, no-BS pre-workout energy

Bucked Up Woke AF: Black Edition is a solid moderate-stim pre-workout with a straightforward setup: 6,000mg citrulline malate for nitric oxide and blood flow, 2,000mg beta-alanine to fight fatigue, 200mg caffeine anhydrous for direct energy, and 200mg AlphaSize® alpha-GPC for brain support. The idea here is simple and effective: hit you with quick effects from caffeine, pumps, and focus right away, then build up benefits over time with beta-alanine. No hidden blends trying to mask low doses—everything's out in the open, which is huge in a world of shady labels.

The star is that 6g citrulline malate. Your body turns citrulline into arginine, which boosts nitric oxide and opens up blood vessels for better flow. That means fuller pumps, better nutrient delivery to your muscles, and less fatigue during reps. 6g is right in the sweet spot from studies—way better than those weak 3g or less doses in a lot of pre-workouts. You'll feel this kicking in during high-volume sets.

Beta-alanine at 2,000mg is backed by science, but it's under the usual 3,200-6,400mg range for max carnosine buildup. It helps make carnosine in your muscles, which fights the acid burn from tough training. At 2g, it's still helpful with regular use, but not fully maxed out. Real talk: it's good, but you might want more if you're all-in on buffering.

Caffeine anhydrous at 200mg gives this formula its immediate performance lift. This is enough to increase alertness, perce

Bucked Up Woke AF Black by Bucked Up contains 100mcg Vitamin B12, a effective dose for training performance and pump.

Key Highlights

  • 6,000mg Citrulline Malate — this is the heavy hitter here. It boosts arginine and nitric oxide, giving you better blood flow, killer pumps, and more oxygen to your muscles when you're cranking out volume.
  • 200mg Caffeine Anhydrous — just enough to ramp up your energy, alertness, and drive without throwing you into overdrive. It's the dry form, so it hits quick and steady, perfect for timing right before you warm up.
  • 200mg AlphaSize® Alpha-GPC — this choline booster sharpens your focus, neural drive, and that connected feel during lifts. It's all about better concentration and mind-muscle link, not just more buzz.
  • 2,000mg Beta-Alanine — a decent hit of this proven ingredient that builds carnosine to buffer acid in your muscles during grind sessions. Solid, but it's below the 3.2g mark from studies, so keep that in mind.
  • Full label transparency — everything's listed with exact doses. In a sea of secret blends, this lets you check what's really in it and stack up against the research yourself.
  • A moderate-stim profile — 200mg caffeine total keeps it easy to fit into your week, unlike those 300mg+ beasts. Great if you want gains without the stim overload.
  • AstraGin® at 25mg — thrown in to help your gut absorb nutrients better by tweaking transporters. It's under the usual 50mg, but shows they're thinking about making the formula work harder.
  • ActiGin® at 25mg — a branded add-on to support your overall workout vibe. Not the main event, but it adds some athlete edge beyond basic caffeine and flavor.

Who Is This For?

  • Intermediate bodybuilders on high-volume hypertrophy who want real pumps and session quality without huge stims. 6g citrulline malate leads, with 200mg caffeine and AlphaSize® keeping focus through accessories.
  • Lifters past beginner stuff but wanting consistent use without 300-400mg caffeine overload. Gives a real boost from clear doses in a chill stim range.
  • Morning or lunch trainers needing energy that doesn't linger all day. 200mg caffeine lifts output but fits a normal schedule better than heavy hitters.
  • Folks who want transparent labels to check every ingredient. Woke AF: Black Edition shows it all, so you spot the strong core and lighter adds.
  • Pump chasers who rate pre-workouts by muscle fullness on chest, arms, shoulders, legs. 6,000mg citrulline malate delivers that blood flow feel.
  • Users after focused training over jittery chaos. Caffeine and AlphaSize® alpha-GPC team up for alert, concentrated energy.

How to Use

Mix 1 scoop in 10-14 ounces cold water, take 20-30 minutes pre-train. That lines up caffeine's quick hit and gets citrulline flowing for warm-ups. New to this or stim-sensitive? Half-scoop first to test, since 200mg caffeine packs a punch. Shaker's best for even mix on powders like citrulline and beta-alanine. Lighter stomach makes it hit faster; big meal slows it. Don't stack with other stims unless you're tracking caffeine total. Goes great with separate creatine and intra hydration. No mandatory cycle, but deload caffeine occasionally. Keep it sealed, cool, and dry to avoid clumps.

What to Expect

Minutes 0-10: Mix and chill; no wild stim rush, just setting up. Minutes 10-20: Caffeine starts perking you up, maybe light beta-alanine tingles at 2g. Minutes 20-40: Prime time—energy's on, focus is sharp, citrulline pumps build with sets. Minutes 40-90: You stay in the flow, blood flow and focus holding strong, smoother than pure caffeine. Days 1-7: Feel the caffeine, AlphaSize®, and citrulline right away; beta-alanine's just starting. Weeks 2-4: Carnosine builds, making hard reps easier to push. Long haul, use it steady as your pre-training go-to, not a rare boost.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in Bucked Up Woke AF: Black Edition?

Each 1-scoop serving delivers 200mg caffeine anhydrous. That places it in the moderate-stim category: enough for a clear increase in energy and focus, but generally easier to tolerate than many modern pre-workouts pushing 300mg or more.

Is the 6,000mg citrulline malate dose actually effective?

Yes. Six grams of citrulline malate is a legitimate performance dose and one of the strongest parts of this formula. Citrulline supports nitric oxide production and vasodilation, which is why users notice better pumps and improved workout blood flow.

Is the beta-alanine dose fully clinical?

Not quite. This product provides 2,000mg beta-alanine, while the classic clinical daily range is 3,200-6,400mg. It is still useful, especially with consistent intake, but users aiming for maximal carnosine loading would need additional beta-alanine from another source.

What does AlphaSize® do in this formula?

AlphaSize® is a branded alpha-GPC ingredient included at 200mg for focus and neural support. Alpha-GPC acts as a choline donor, supporting acetylcholine-related signaling that can improve concentration and the feeling of a stronger mind-muscle connection during training.

When should I take Woke AF: Black Edition before training?

Take it 20-30 minutes pre-workout. That window aligns well with caffeine anhydrous absorption and gives the formula time to come online before your first hard sets.

Can I stack this with creatine?

Yes, and it makes sense to do so. This formula does not include creatine, so adding 3-5g daily creatine monohydrate complements the pre-workout by supporting phosphocreatine replenishment and high-intensity performance.

Will this make me tingle?

It can. The 2,000mg beta-alanine dose may cause mild paresthesia—the harmless tingling sensation many users feel in the face, hands, or skin shortly after ingestion. Some people feel it strongly, some barely notice it.

Is this product fully transparent or does it use proprietary blends?

It is fully transparent. Every active ingredient and dose is listed, which is a major advantage in a category where proprietary blends often hide underdosed formulas.

Is AstraGin® meaningfully dosed here?

AstraGin® is included at 25mg, which is below the commonly cited 50mg benchmark. It still reflects an absorption-support strategy, but it is not a fully loaded AstraGin® dose compared with more aggressively built formulas.

Is this a good pre-workout for beginners?

For a true beginner, it depends on caffeine tolerance. The formula is transparent and not overloaded, which is good, but 200mg caffeine can still feel strong if you're not used to stimulants. Starting with half a scoop is the smartest approach.

Wobby? Fixable!
Color: Onyx Black, Color: Onyx Black
After a year and half of excellent performance, the platter became more and more wobbly but the readings were consistent. Finally, it was too wobbly and the readings were erratic. There was no obvious way to try to fix it and I couldn't find any help online. I wrote to Greater Goods customer service. While I was awaiting a reply I could barely see that there was a screw inside that appeared to connect to the back right behind the paper label. I pressed on the label, and it broke through to reveal...two screws! I tightened them both and my scale is back in action just like new! It's ready for years of upcoming service. If your unit starts to wobble, it's almost certainly fixable this way. Oh, and Urmila from customer service just reached out and I gave them the good news.

works great
Size: EK6002
i've had it for a couple of weeks now, and i will say, it works well. calibration isn't in the instructions, but, if you hit and hold all 4 buttons when you turn it on, after it says hello, it will enter cal mode. pressing unit advances to the next screen, which is the auto shut off time. if you turn off the power, or use all 4 buttons to reset it, it does not seem to save, so you will have to purchase calibration weights in order to change it. after setting the auto shutoff, it then lists the 3000 g, which is the max weight. it seems you can change it, but i haven't tried. the next shows random numbers, seemingly the raw value of the scale sensor, then it goes through asking for a 500g calibration weight, and after that, a 2000g calibration weight. the 1000g weight doesn't seem to be necessary. after calibration, the scale seems to do pretty well with the calibration weights. weighing in the center and in the corners seem to be repeatable, although it may be a little off at the very edges or corners. the mat that goes on top of the scale has a hangover on the left side, which helps keep it in place, but it can slide up and down. using the scale to measure liquid, it seems to refresh quick enough to easily allow you to gauge when to stop, although, it may depend on how quickly you pour. one thing to note, the precision mentioned in the description. this scale is accurate to 0.1g from 0-500g, 0.5g from 501-1000g, and 1g from 1001-3000g. this isn't over the weight range of the scale exactly, but rather over the displayed weight. meaning, if you decided to weigh pour over or something, in something heavy (or a collection of things), if you tare out the weight (zero it out to measure the difference), it will still display the first 500g up to 0.1g accuracy. that makes the 3000g limit of the scale much more useful. lastly, this is a rebranded scale...many make the same scale under a different brand. i can't remember which combination of buttons it was, but if you held 2 buttons at the same time, it would bring up a muted speaker (no sound) icon, even though this scale doesn't have sound to begin with. i'm very happy with this scale. the price was good, and realizing that the 0.1g accuracy works up to 500g after taring is great. i used it to measure the water and ice in my 64 oz yeti, to figure out how much water i was actually drinking (got very close to the limit of 3000g).

Good scale to use while making pour over coffee and other things
Size: EK6002
So there is one problem that I have found with this unit so far, but only one, it lags in accuracy slightly. I have used the Timemore black mirror for over a year now and I find this scale to be much nicer in everyway with the one exception. It doesn't instantly measure your pour, it needs a second or less after you stop pouring to give an accurate measurement. It's usually about a gram lag and I have gotten used to dealing with it however you should upgrade your sensor to give a faster reading. Now in every other way I prefer this scale to the Timemore which is almost 3 times the price of this scale. This scale is longer with a larger area to work on making it much more comfortable to do a pour over, also this scale has a solid flat surface where the controls are meaning you will not get water into the controls. I have had it happen more than a few times with the Timemore where if some water falls on the area of the timer or tare switch they stop working temporarily. While making a pour over it is a significant problem when that happens, I don't think I will ever have that problem with this unit because there is no area for the water to penetrate. I do wish the controls gave a beep when you activated and if they made the sensor respond more quickly those would be some nice improvements. However in all for the price of this little scale you can't go wrong, I have no idea how long it will hold up as I have used it for about a month. However if it continues on as it has I see it performing well for a long while, thanks for the great scale and even better price.

Excellent scale in all ways.
Size: EK6002
I’ve used this identical scale for four years, though with a different brand name on it, still identical, made in China with a friendly “Hello” on the splash screen when you turn it on. After approximately 1,000 uses in four years, it suddenly died one day, lost its mind and became obviously useless. When that happened there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to replace it with exactly the same scale because I liked the old one so much. The controls are logically laid out, the display is bright, it automatically turns itself off after a few minutes if you forget about it. I’ve tested it with standard weights and it’s precisely accurate. It’s correctly sized for its task (a coffee scale), it’s slim, light, has a removable, washable rubber mat that covers the weighing platform, and is altogether a winner in design and utility, and there’s no reason to change anything about it. When this one fails, I’ll be happy enough to buy another. It costs twenty bucks . . .

Simple, does the trick.
Size: EK6002
It's a simple, basic scale. Lightweight, it's easy to move from where I stash it to where I use it for measuring coffee. The unit of measure holds it setting when you turn it off, which is nice. I use it in grams for coffee, which is 95% of my use. I acquired a big bag of coffee (5lbs or so) which I broke down into smaller vacuum-packed bags for storage, measured out at 180g each. The scale mostly performed like a champ, although it drifted off zero twice between during bags. Simply shutting restarting the scale got it back on track. It works for me, if you're a hardcore candy maker or baker, you may want a higher quality unit.
