98 – 112 days. Evolution Violet seeds promise vibrant, hardy, and AAS award-winning salvia plants to excite your home or garden. Salvia Evolution Violet debuted as a 2006 All-American Selections Flower Winner for their “low maintenance, tolerance to heat and drought” and “continuous color from early summer to the first hard frost.” Where as most violet salvia plants produce soft shades of lavender, Evolution Violet salvia seeds grow a striking and unmistakable 6 – 7” deep indigo-violet blooming stalk. Salvia Evolution Violet seeds mature at 16 – 24” tall and are an ideal grow to line the flower bed or as an eye-catching centerpiece for any decorative indoor planter. 1000 seeds.

Growing Evolution Violet Salvia Garden Seeds

  • Taxonomy: Salvia farinacea
  • Seed Type: Annual (perennial in optimal humid climates)
  • Sow Indoors or Outdoors: Most home gardens do not have the warm, humid conditions needed to sow Evolution Violet directly outside and plants will not likely bloom. Begin seeds indoors 10 – 12 weeks before final frost. Seeds will germinate with full lighting in 14 – 21 days. Once germinated, transplant seedlings to indoor container or harden off if transplanting outside to a suitable environment.
  • Days to Maturity: 98 - 112 days
  • Hardiness Zone: 8 - 10
  • Planting Depth: Plant 3 – 4 seeds ¼” deep
  • Plant Spacing: 20”
  • Growth Habit: 16 – 24” tall bushy upright 16 – 20” wide with a 6 – 7” violet floret spike
  • Soil Preference: Average, evenly moist, well-drained
  • Light Preference: Full sun - partial shade
  • Diseases/Pests/Troubleshooting: Evolution Violet is known to tolerate some drought and poor soils, but thrives in moist, well-drained soil. Plants can be susceptible to downy and powdery mildew. Avoid overhead watering by watering soil directly to minimize wetting foliage. Salvia plants have no serious pests or diseases.
  • Color: Deep violets and indigos with rich leafy greens

Excellent, unless your pup is a dedicated destructo-dog!
Color: Yellow and Orange
I purchased this twice for a young puppy. She loves these slippers, and they are quite resistent to her piranha teeth. The same can't be said for my adult Golden Retriever, who destroys almost every toy; it's one of his missions in life. A slipper accidently found its way to him, and he shredded it within about 45 minutes. I have to say that I'm surprised it lasted that long, attesting to its relative durability. Overall, I recommend these for most dogs.

Dangerous.
Color: Purple
Died in about 2 days. Dogs chewed it to bits and then tried to swallow the pieces. Would not recommend for pet safety. I don't have big dogs, I have littler puppies (3 and 5 months) - would likely have died instantly with big chewers.

Disappointed they didn’t hold up long before pieces was being chewed off.
Color: Yellow and Purple
My minature poodle loved them till she started chewing pieces off of them so we had to dispose of them.

Good toy
Great toy for med dogs. A small one might have a bit of a hard time with the size but med and large dogs will love it. Thick plastic so they can’t pierce it quickly.
