The chest has been ebonized and finished with a lustrous, hand applied French polish of museum quality. There are five dovetailed drawers all featuring gilt brass pulls. At the center of each drawer is an escutcheon of brass that showcases a bow design. The chest is supported by four tapered legs with brass feet on the front two.
