We paid our tech for the 15 hours of skilled labor required to meticulously service and upgrade this Polysix the right way, without cutting corners like most other sellers do / making it more valuable than lesser examples you may find. We are professional perfectionists with decades of experience and an exceptional level of customer satisfaction, so you'll get what you pay for.
In addition to the cost of this item plus its proper restoration, we invested around $500 in 2 important upgrades - 1. a Kiwisix MIDI retrofit (which adds excellent MIDI control other retrofits don't offer that takes this synth to a whole other level), and 2. a new Kiwi power supply board that'll hopefully extend this unit's life way beyond that of others you may find that don't have this new power supply.
In addition to any repairs, we performed the following work to make this instrument work like new again:
Tact switches were replaced so buttons work flawlessly.
All pots and switches were cleaned and lubed.
Unit was cleaned inside and out.
Key contacts were cleaned.
Oscillators were recalibrated.
Filters were recalibrated.
Multiple systematic burn-in tests were performed to ensure full functionality and reliability.
All tests passed, and now this unit is ready for its next happy home! It will of course be packed to withstand abuse so it arrives intact, which is sadly not the norm these days!

This is a great sounding polyphonic analog synth keyboard. It's one of our favorite sounding synths. It's got memory for you to store your sounds, lots of knobs, a built in arpeggiator and a unique sounding effects section with chorus/phaser/ensemble effects. The sound is extremely warm, thanks to this effects section and the SSM chips inside. The unison and 1 finger chord sections are great as well. We think it sounds a lot warmer and interesting than a lot of other popular vintage synths, particularly the Roland Juno-106 which is similar in some ways but offers fewer features.
