Marble Variegated Dragon Tail – Marbled, Tropical, Luxe

The Marble Variegated Dragon Tail, also known as Epipremnum Pinnatum Marble Variegata, is a sculptural, trailing vine that adds drama to shelves, trellises, and hanging frames. It’s perfect for collectors and style-minded plant lovers.

Plant Personality & Aesthetic Appeal

When it comes to Dragon Tail, think of each leaf as a tiny piece of marble — no two patterns are the same. Young leaves are lance-shaped with dramatic cream streaks, while older ones ripple, thicken, and often develop dramatic cuts that add architectural drama. The texture is slightly rippled and pleasantly leathery under the fingers, so it photographs beautifully and rewards casual caressing. Hang it where light can tease the variegation: a tall shelf, a high planter, or trained on a moss pole beside a favourite armchair.

Growth Habit & Size Potential

Dragon Tails’ vines start tidy, then get theatrical. Expect 1 to 3 metres of trailing or climbing growth indoors when it’s happy. Mature leaves can reach 10 to 40 cm long once fenestration begins. It prefers to climb, so give it a moss pole and it will reward you with larger, more dramatic leaves sooner rather than later. Growth is moderate to fast when warm and bright, slower in cool or dim spaces. Use 12 to 25 cm pots for young plants and step up to 25 to 30 cm for vigorous specimens to avoid root crowding.

Light & Location Needs

Dragon Tails love bright, indirect light, especially the kind that filters through sheer curtains or bounces off a white wall. The more light it gets (without harsh midday sun), the crisper the variegation and the fuller the leaves. In low light, it survives but peters out — variegation could fade, and stems might stretch. Shield your potted dragon from direct afternoon sun. It also thrives under grow lights, making it perfect for interior corners that need a little botanical pizzazz.

Care Level & Maintenance Tips

Water when the top of soil feels dry. Use an airy mix with bark, perlite, and cocopeat to keep roots happy and oxygenated. Keep temperatures between 18 to 28°C and humidity above 50%. Higher humidity speeds up fenestration. Feed lightly during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertiliser at half strength. Prune your Dragon Tail to encourage branching and to display more patterned leaves. Remember, variegated plants are divas about light — give more, fuss less.

Heavy chewer approved.
Style: Ball, Size: Medium (Pack of 1)
My pomsky will destroy a toy in minutes. Ropes, and the "indestructible" nylon type stuffs are no match for my furry shark. This ball has stood up to him like David. He loves the crunch and it is so much more tolerable than a squeaker. These will be a staple in his toy box - Chuckit toys are really the most durable dog toys I have found in three years.

Dogs love them
Style: Ball, Size: Medium (Pack of 2)
Our dogs love these. What’s great is that you can add more plastic (like from water bottles) if the plastic starts to fall out from the center. If you have a chewer, though, these won’t last you long. Our shepherd mix loves these and then starts to pull the rubber apart the more she plays with it. Our other dogs treat it normally, though, and those ones last forever. They also get some decent height when bounced, and they make a unique whistling noise when thrown.

Our pup loves the cronch cronch!
Style: Ball, Size: Medium (Pack of 1)
I bought our 15 month old Coton several Chuck-It toys on an Amazon deal. He is incredibly playful, mischievous, and ball/toy obsessed, especially for anything that makes noise. He can also be very destructive so I love how durable most of their products are - they’re among our longest lasting toys and worth every penny. We have yet to take them to the dog park, but they’re a perfect size for sharing in play time. And they are keeping him busy at home - that’s a good thing. He loves investigating the crunchy-cronchy-crinkly sound which is a nice change from squeakers. It can withstand his destructive chewing well-being, gentle on his little teeth. I love that. Chuck-It is thinking outside the box with a variety of balls to keep dogs engaged! I do worry about the crinkle plastic inside because it is accessible because of the air holes and it feels a little sharp. So this will have to be an at home toy so we can monitor his play.
