Distilled in 2007 and aged for more than a decade in ex-bourbon casks, this Venezuelan rum showcases the rich, rounded style the country is known for. Bottled by independent rum specialist Holmes Cay with no additives, coloring, or sweetening, it highlights the natural character of the distillate.
The rum opens with aromas of caramel, toasted coconut, and vanilla layered with hints of baking spice and roasted nuts. On the palate, it is smooth and full-bodied, offering notes of toffee, dark sugar, and warm spice balanced by gentle oak. The finish is long and mellow with lingering hints of cocoa and dried fruit.
A beautifully balanced example of aged Venezuelan rum that works equally well sipped neat or as the centerpiece of a refined rum cocktail.
