ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

"The articles and columns in The Scandal of the Century demonstrate that his forthright, lightly ironical voice just seemed to be there, right from the start . . . He's among those rare great fiction writers whose ancillary work is almost always worth finding . . . He had a way of connecting the souls in all his writing, fiction and nonfiction, to the melancholy static of the universe." -Dwight Garner, The New York Times

From one of the titans of twentieth-century literature, collected here for the first time: a selection of his journalism from the late 1940s to the mid-1980s-work that he considered even more important to his legacy than his universally acclaimed works of fiction.

"I don't want to be remembered for One Hundred Years of Solitude or for the Nobel Prize but rather for my journalism," Gabriel García Márquez said in the final years of his life. And while some of his journalistic writings have been made available over the years, this is the first volume to gather a representative selection from across the first four decades of his career-years during which he worked as a full-time, often muckraking, and controversial journalist, even as he penned the fiction that would bring him the Nobel Prize in 1982. Here are the first pieces he wrote while working for newspapers in the coastal Colombian cities of Cartagena and Barranquilla . . . his longer, more fictionlike reportage from Paris and Rome . . . his monthly columns for Spain's El País. And while all the work points in style, wit, depth, and passion to his fiction, these fifty pieces are, more than anything, a revelation of the writer working at the profession he believed to be "the best in the world."

My Review...
Format: Paperback
This is a great addition to the Simpsons' book family. It is just like the show, but you can spend as much time reading it as you want. I think this book is extermly fuuny. I have read pretty much every Simpsons' book and this is worth being next with them. I love how the Simpsons' comedy is different than other cartoons and even shows. The comedy is not always dark but it is not always light either. "Little Shop of Homers" was a great finisher. I wish it would of been longer, but it is OK. As with most people, one of my favorite parts in the Simpsons' comics are the in between things. For example, "Moe's Guide To Superstitions", "Bart Simpson-Master Of Disguise presents The Quick 'N' Easy, Low-Budget Do-It-Yourself Guide To COOL COSTUMES". Well, that is all I can really say. I suggest Simpson fans should read this. Keep them coming and I will keep reading.. Have A Nice LiFE! Ryan

Best halloween special yet!
Format: Paperback
This is another of the many must have books for the true simpson fan. This book provides hours of laughs and would make a great gift. It has main stories, and in between shorts such as Springfield in #%*$, and a yocals guide to Halloween. I enjoy this book every time I pick it up, and you should to!

Holistic Understanding
Format: Paperback
I passed my CAPM exam in December 2025. This book helped me understand how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together for the CAPM. I also supplemented with other resources, but this book helped really tie everything together. Read it all and do all the practice quizzes and tests to really get a solid understanding. I'll look for PMP related books by the same author. Very well written and easy to understand.

Buy this one. It is straight to the point!
Format: Paperback
I don't usually write reviews. But this book was amazing. It was a life saver to have me refresh from my masters degree. I read domains three and four. Then I went through about 400 of the practice questions and was able to ace my exam above target in all domains. It is really easy to follow and I will be using it as a stepping stone when it is time to take the PMP exam. Definitely buy this one.

Helped Me Pass the CAPM
Format: Paperback
You need more than this to pass the exam, but this is an excellent study guide and structure. The practice questions are way easier than the actual exam. Don't let them give you a sense of false confidence. Especially if you don't have experience. I recommend to Google project management courses, IBM, or there's another one on Udemy. Use the PMI practice exam, too.
