Oyster mushrooms, members of the Pleurotus genus, are a group of gilled mushrooms prized for both their gourmet culinary applications as well as their "superfood" nutrient profile. There are around 40 unique types of oyster mushrooms, including Pleurotus ostreatus. The oyster mushroom is widespread in many temperate and subtropical forests throughout the world. Documented use of the oyster mushroom for medicinal and culinary use dates back to 2,000 years ago in parts of Asia. • Use FOREST GOLD GROW BLOCK or FOREST GOLD HARDWOOD SUBSTRATE for all clear/white-tipped syringes. All “FOREST GOLD” products are designed for hardwood-loving mushroom varieties. “FOREST GOLD” products will come in white packaging and will be clearly labeled for use with clear/white-tipped syringe specimens.
