Step back into the golden age of mid century pottery with this Vintage Rare Japan Boston Terrier Dog Planter. This authentic piece of post war Japanese ceramic art was carefully hand painted and fired during the height of Japanese ceramic and pottery art. For collectors of rare Japanese animal art, the mark “Japan” on the bottom tells a story of quality, craftsmanship, and a specific era when Japanese pottery studios produced some of the most charming figural planters ever made. Whether you are a Boston Terrier parent, a vintage planter collector, or a lover of quirky mid century decor, this Japanese ceramic dog planter delivers a unique combination of charm and functional botanical art.

Measuring approximately 8.5 inches long and 8 inches tall, this Boston Terrier planter was handcrafted in Japan during the late 1950s or early 1960s, a period renowned for detailed ceramic animals made for the export market. Unlike mass produced modern ceramics, this piece features hand painted details that bring the Boston Terrier’s distinctive tuxedo coat, soulful eyes, and alert expression to life. The glossy glaze finish protects the paint and gives the planter a warm, luminous quality. The backstamp “Japan” is clearly visible on the bottom, guaranteeing its country of origin and vintage status.

The planter cavity is thoughtfully designed to accommodate small houseplants, succulents, cacti, or faux botanicals . A low maintenance succulent or air plant fits perfectly within the opening, creating a living  space for greenery around the dog’s back. Please note that as with most vintage Japanese planters of this era, there is no drainage hole . This design is ideal for use as a cachepot or for displaying dried flowers, artificial plants, or as a standalone sculptural object.

True mid century Japanese dog planters in good condition are becoming increasingly difficult to find and are genuine treasures. For the Boston Terrier enthusiast, this piece solves the common problem of finding breed specific decor that is not mass produced or tacky. It offers a respectful, artistic tribute to the breed that also serves a practical purpose on a windowsill, desk, or shelf. This vintage dog planter is the perfect gift for a dog lover, a collector of Japanese ceramics, or anyone who appreciates the whimsy of retro home decor.

Add this Vintage Rare Japan Boston Terrier Dog Planter to your home and collection today.

Can't hurt him
Format: Paperback
I've had many conversations with different people about Goggins, and I would have to say it's been a near 50|50 split of people supporting him and people having issues with him. Here I will address the motivational aspect of the book: The transformation Goggins went through from his lowest of low points to his highs are extremely admirable. He had a rough start and numerous setbacks that would've been a decent reason to keep his way of life as it was, but he felt stagnant. So he decided to change it but going after one of the hardest things you can do- prepping for Seal training. Here I will address the methodology of his motivation: In short, to become a Seal isn't a mere accident. It is 100% intentful. 100% a team required feat and effort. In some instances of the book, Goggins mentions he struggled with some of his peers, maybe even head-butting ideology where he may have gone solo on some things or didn't quite agree with how a team was being run. He has his own self reflections on this various incidents. However, what I would like to note is that the self-reflection exists (*I listened to the audiobook as well which offered other insight not part of the book). I believe if you take what is necessary from the book: the motivation, the coaching, the curiosity or whatever you can get get out of the book that is a positive influence then that's great! There are plenty of people who do not like Goggins and because of that bias, they don't give credit to the content of his book. I would say, be an educated reader/consumer. There is always something to be learned/gained from other people's lives and experiences.

Thirty years on this earth… and this is the first book I’ve truly read from start to finish.
Format: Hardcover
Reading Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins didn’t just motivate me it shifted something inside me. It reminded me that struggle is universal, but mindset is the difference. He doesn’t stop when things get hard; he stops only when the mission is complete and then he looks for the next challenge. This book teaches you that obstacles aren’t there to break you, they’re there to build you. If you feel overwhelmed or stuck, this is the kind of book that wakes something up inside you. Stay hard. 💪🏾
