  • SailPod Pre-Cut for Raymarine e165 for 12? wide guard

SailPods are for mounting a single Radar or Chartplotter at the helm. Navigation at your finger tips. "Where you need it?when you need it". Sail Pods are the smart solution for mounting your Radar or Chartplotter at the helm where you can easily operate and clearly see the fine details of the screen. NavPods have a high gloss finish, giving you a clean mounting solution while concealing unsightly wires. Nickel Chrome plated tamperproof screws provide a little bling and a lot of security. Designed with a double gasket waterproof seal, NavPods protect your electronics from the harshest of wet offshore boating conditions. A SailPod is best mounted on a Single Bend AngleGuard or use a Double Bend AngleGuard to fit an InstrumentPod on the top vertical section and SailPod below on the angled section.

Structural Rigidity — The Gen3 enhancements now include a thicker gauge acrylic capped ABS material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. This thicker material allows for a larger waterproof seal. The better the structural rigidity, the less flexing when tightening and more uniform pressure on the seal. The excellent UV stability of the acrylic is combined with the durability of the ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects on plastic.

Waterproof Seal — All SailPods are manufactured with a double gasket system providing an excellent watertight seal. This seal provides the best protection of your Marine Electronics. SailPods are made to withstand the harshest wet offshore boating conditions. Gen3 enhancements include a thicker external silicone gasket with improved flush fit. The internal Poran Microcell Polyurathane gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "compression set" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the SailPod in the future in order to service your electronics. The gasket will continue to do its job.

Nickel Chrome Plated Stainless Steel — We use all 316 stainless steel hardware that is supplied with each NavPod. Large round head tamperproof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding ability when tightening than screws used on our Traditional Series NavPod. For Gen3 NavPods we provide nickel chrome-plated stainless steel tamperproof screws for security combined with a little style!

Commitment to quality We stand behind our commitment by offering a 10-year warranty on all new Gen3 NavPods.

This book is aimed directly at professional web designers and is build around Adobe CS6. It can be helpful, but...
Format: Paperback
Preface - I have a lot of experience making webpages and sites, but my experience is very dated (I haven't played with actual web programming in more than a decade). Many things have changed since I was building websites - including the standardization of HTML 5 and the widespread use of CSS. Since I am rebuilding a number of personal webpages - as well as my commercial site - my wife bought me this book to help me catch up on the new technology. Pluses - 1) The book does a really good job of giving a decent overview of the new technologies I need to learn. Like most "Dummies" books, it is easy to read and follow the instructions and information. 2) The book is aimed at actual web designers and while I am not a professional designer, the tips and tricks laid out in this book are very helpful. 3) I am not sure that someone completely new to website construction would get as much out of it as I did - there are a lot of assumptions made by the author about the reader's grasp of certain web technologies. That said, I think someone new to web design could probably still figure out what is being said. Negatives - 1) This book is aimed at someone looking to become a professional web designer. It is NOT a low level book and covers many things that a personal website designer is not likely to need. Given the fairly low price of the book, that isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it isn't presented that way in the advertisements for the book. 2 (and this is the biggie...) The book is built around using a VERY expensive piece of software - Adobe Creative Suite cs6. This software runs ~$1,000. This makes sense if you are trying to become a professional web designer, but for someone at home just doing a website for themselves, it is WAY out of most people's price range. You don't need that software to learn the lessons in the book, but it is heavily slanted for that piece of software. Most of the screenshots are aimed at the Adobe software. I am using a fairly decent piece of software, but I will need to get a book on that particular software to try to do some of the things the book talks about. I found the book helpful, but flawed for anyone NOT getting into professional web design.

Great reference book
Format: Paperback
I started reading this book and gave up after I realized I didn't have the programs that it called for. (The programs are very expensive!) However, I kept this on hand because I started to do more research on HTML codes and taught myself (with some guidence from this book) how to create my own webpages using simple design programs AND coding other sites soley with HTML codes! Decently priced and something good to have on hand when that one thing just doesn't make sense...

This takes you from nothing to success
Format: Paperback
I love the For Dummies series. This one is every bit as good as any you have ever read in the series. Very clear.
