What a wonderful coffee!

It does not taste bitter and only offers a slightly acidic flavour with aromas of bergamot and pumpernickel.

Produced in a small family roasting plant in Rome, in the best tradition of the craft. Giancarlo Martella uses a blend of only the best Arabica and Robusta beans for the composition of Maximum Class. The result is a flavourful, incredibly creamy coffee which presents itself harmoniously and well-rounded.

Percentages of coffee blends used:
90 % Arabica beans, 10 % Robusta

LUIGINA Caffè Alunni

1000g bag of whole beans

80% Arabica - 20% Robusta

This excellent blend was dedicated to Luigina, Alessia Alunni's mother.

This blend is composed of 8 varieties, all from fine quality plantations. The countries of origin are Brazil, Kenya, Nepal, Peru, Puerto Rico and Santo Domingo. Also supplemented by robusta beans from India (India Kaapi Royale) and Cuba. Kaapi Royale is grown in western India, in the Baba Budan mountains in the Karnataka region. The high altitude and nutrient-rich soil produce high quality robusta beans, ensuring a fantastic cream and a lovely, deep brown in the cup. Caffè Alunni sources its green coffees directly from the coffee plantations.

A real coffee like at the bar in Italy. This blend is perfect for the discerning espresso drinker.

The full-bodied Luigina forms a perfect alliance with milk. Despite its pronounced taste profile, it gently caresses the palate. Full-bodied and intense coffee with lingering aftertaste. Discover aromas of roasted nuts, toast and pastries. These dark notes are balanced by fresh, bright nuances of stone fruit and flowers. In addition, this blend is virtually acid-free thanks to the long and complex roasting process.

The award for "Best Tasting Espresso" at the International Espresso Championships speaks for itself. This fine award is based on the olfactory evaluations of the judges of the IIAC (International Institute of Coffee Tasters), which has more than 12,000 experts in over 40 countries.

Numerous renowned judges taste countless coffees in stages and in the end choose only one winner. The gold medal in the espresso blend category is therefore the best of almost 300 selected coffees from all over the world. Caffè Alunni's Luigina has won this award twice. In 2019 at the Japanese edition of the competition and in 2020 at its Italian edition. Both are great coffee nations, with great expertise in the field.

Like almost all roasting plants in Italy, Moka Efti roasts the right blend for every preference.

In the Verde blend, Moka Efti did increase the proportion of Robusta even further. Perfect for the lovers of a powerful blend.

Despite its strong appearance, Verde remains an exceptionally well-tolerated, low acid coffee with an excellent aroma.

The nutty-creamy taste and the luxuriant crema are the ideal basis for a cappuccino or latte macchiato.
