Third Reich era Photo/Document Lot for Member of Confectionery Trade-Now here is a very different and interesting lot. The name of the man was Rolf Schümann. The first item to note is a document folder that contains his apprenticeship certificate and examination certificate. This is a very formal piece with the DAF motto as well as the logo for the Reich Guild Association of the Confectionery Trade. There are seven small black and white photos of Rolf’s time in the RAD plus a larger one of a gent, presumably his father, in his Luftwaffe uniform. There is an 8 page document dated July 6, 1935 from the city of Cologne Chamber of Crafts which is basically his certificate of graduation, it says “apprentice register”. There are two “report cards” as well as a handful of medical cards as well. This is a unique and interesting grouping that would be a fun research project!
