1, Life-size magnification and 1-foot minimum focus distance for macro applications. The optical design uses two SLD elements to virtually eliminate chromatic aberration and colour fringing across the focal region, improving clarity and colour reproduction. A super multi-layer coating has also been applied to enhance contrast when working in bright light.
Balancing its optical merits, the lens also features a floating internal focus design that maintains consistent sharpness throughout the focus range. A hypersonic motor provides fast and quiet autofocus performance, while an optical stabilizer minimizes camera shake for sharper handheld shots.
