iMSB is a suite of advanced telemetry data display and logging applications designed to be used with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

The iMSB is designed to work with 2.4GHz telemetry enabled RC transmitter systems. It integrates a wide range of telemetry sensor available on the market.

iMSB offers a state of the art replacement for transmitter and external telemetry displays, including many more advanced features. iMSB is fully customizable supports several model definitions and allows tracking vital information from your model. Flight data is displayed in an easy to read form on several thematic views in analogue or digital form. iMSB not only displays real-time flight data, but is able to record and save flight sessions for later playback and analysis. It can be configured to alert when critical values are reached and provides valuable flight time statistics data. Additionally, in order to enhance safety and as modellers generally focus on their model rather than on a telemetry display iMSB fully supports voice based commands and announcements.

iMSB FrSky operates with FrSky OpenTX enabled 2.4 GHz transmitter systems. It is compatible with FrSky S.Port enabled receivers (X-Series) and S.Port telemetry sensors from various vendors.

Real time data is transferred between the transmitter and an iPhone or iPad via the iMSB Bluetooth Smart interface . But even if your transmitter is not yet ready for real-time logging, you can jump start exploring the power of iMSB with the built-in demo flight recordings.

Features

  • Support for various thematic displays such as electrical and temperature sensors, vario, altitude, speed, heading and rpm, which can be freely configurable
  • Up to nine freely configurable display views can be defined per model
  • As long as a GPS is available the current model position, as well as its flight track can be displayed on a map
  • Minimum, maximum and average statistical data can be shown along the actual sensor value, as well as a graphical plot of it evolution over time
  • Displays sensor data in metric, imperial or nautical units

Customize Each Display View

  • Freely customize each value display by assigning sensor values to individual analogue meter views or display fields
  • The layout of each view can be defined among a set of predefined templates
  • Each value display can be enabled or disabled in order the keep the interface tidy. Even the ordering and the position at which a display will appear on the tab bar can be adapted

Use Models to Keep Things Tidy

  • Define individual models and assign available sensors from a list of predefined items or define your own sensor by selecting each value that it should contain
  • The values available on each sensor can be customized and configured according to the settings in the real model
  • Upon availability of certain values iMSB is also able to calculate additional data such as GPS coordinates for plotting the flight track on a map, used power of an electric motor, etc.
  • All model, sensor and value names can be freely edited and customized

Define Alarms and Custom Notifications

  • Individual alarm thresholds, as well as multiple level notifications for each sensor value can be setup directly in the application (no specific settings required at the real sensor level)
  • Get notified of an alarm by issuing an alarm sound, display a message popup or a spoken notification
  • Alarm and notification messages can be custom defined and adapted to individual needs

Record and Replay your Flights

  • Record real-time flight sessions and save them for later playback and analysis
  • Control replay speed, cuing to a specific position, as well as pausing and resuming playback
  • Fine tune and modify the model definition for each log recording
  • Integrates an enhanced vario sound player (vario required)
  • A map and coordinates based model finder allows to recover your lost models

Statistics Allow You to Analyze Your Flights

  • Compare flight to flight, as well as model statistics
  • Plot several values simultaneously on a time graph for further data analysis

Speech Based Announcements and Control

  • iMSB incorporates a flexible voice based application navigation and command set for controlling various application features, requesting the announcement of a sensor value or even a whole set of values
  • Reached alarm thresholds or levels are all voice announced. Individual announcement messages can be individually customised.

Use Transmitter Events to Control the Application

  • Use transmitter events such as for instance the flip of a switch to control user defined tasks such as navigating through the application, announcing value lists or disabling the vario player
  • Each task can be executed by specifying one or several trigger actions or state conditions based on transmitter, timer or value occurrence events

Export Flight Data for Further Analysis

Export flight log data over iCloud Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive for further visualisation and analysis in the following formats:

  • LogView Open Format Zero (csv) for visualisation in LogView Studio
  • KMZ flight track for 3D visualisation in Google Earth
  • Reconstructed NMEA data supporting GPRMC, GPVTG, GPGLL, GPGGA sentences

Annotate Maps with Map Overlays

  • Use map overlays to mark specific spots like landing or spectators zones, as well as forbidden flight zones on the map
  • Get acoustically and visually alarmed when flying over a forbidden flight zone
  • Use the map overly editor to choose among various type of map shapes and customize them according to your personal preferences

Fly GPS and FAI Triangles Like a Pro

  • Define GPS and FAI triangles you want to fly in your favorite spot and display them while you are flying on a map view
  • Use the map overlay editor to easily draw and edit your FAI triangles attributes
  • Use the virtual OLC sensor in conjunction with your GPS sensor to provide even more flight and statistics information, such as the number of laps flown, the actual waypoint headed to, the remaining distance to the next waypoint, the time flown for each lap, the speed when leaving the start circle and much more

Multi Gestures Enabled

MSB uses multi-gestures for the following functionality:

  • Swipe horizontally from the left or right edge of the screen to switch between views
  • Swipe horizontally on the tab bar to display additional view selection buttons
  • In a displayed meter view tap on a value, its corresponding statistic or an analog meter to announce the corresponding value
  • Pan vertically in a meter view to announce all values shown in that display. This allows to easily handle announcement lists

Develop Your Own Application Logic with Lua Scripts

  • Use the iMSB Lua sensor scripting library for specific user defined sensor value processing and application behavior control
  • The embedded code editor and log console permits efficient Lua script development and testing
  • Exchange your designs with your buddy via the script import and export feature

Hardware Requirements

In order to perform real-time data acquisition with iMSB a respective RC transmitter or Tx module equipped with a data or serial port is required. The transmission of real time telemetry data from the RC transmitter to an iOS device is performed over the iMSB Bluetooth smart device and needs to be installed in the transmitter.

Please note that iMSB FrSky only supports the S.Port telemetry protocol. Therefore your transmitter must be equipped with an X series transmitter module (XJT) and can only be operated with receivers of the same series.

The iMSB FrSky Bluetooth module must be either connected to transmitter serial port or to the pin header in the Tx module extension bay.

Installation

This module will need to be wired into the external module bay of your FrSky radio.

In order to output usable telemetry data you need to activate the external Tx module in your radio’s settings.

Reliable favorite kitchen tool
Color: Blue
This wonderful tool may be the most used tool in our kitchen. The hardest thing about it is to remember you can push the button and it runs- you don't have to hold it!. The charge on the rechargable battery last a long time- about 1 recharge per month- and we use it daily. We use the mixer attachment most. It works great for protein powders, collagen, iced tea or lemonade mix. It cleans easily and is waterproof- just make sure the cover is over the charging port. We have used it to froth milk, whip eggs, and as I said we use it daily to mix beverages. I worried about the price, but it is a great value because we bought it in December 2024 and it is more powerful and has already lasted longer than two whimpy ones.

Quality

This is by far the best frother I've used. Battery life is great. Its UX is excellent. Feels nice in the hand and has great power. Also like the on/off button as opposed to haveing to hold a switch down. Looking forward to getting their s3 scale.

Overall good frother
Color: Black
Bought the Maestri and the Zulay frother to test which one is better since both had good reviews. Returned the Zulay (see Zulay review) and kept the Maestri. Been using it for a few days now and works well. Mixes chai and hot chocolate well. It has one speed that is a good speed to mix, but not so fast that it causes the drink to spill over the top as long as the cup is filled to about 80% full. Because I tend to use the tall 20 oz Contigo autoseal cups, it could benefit from offering longer attachments to reach the bottom of the cup (note: that I did not find any company that offers longer attachment arms).

LOVE this frother and the creamy results!
Color: Black
I LOVE this gadget! And I'm not a gadget person. Since I got it a few days ago, I've switched from using my Nespresso coffee maker, which uses pods and which I really like, to using Starbucks instant coffee packets (cheaper and more environmentally friendly than pods). I put a packet of the coffee and two packets of Equal in a cup, add half and half, then use this frother to mix them. Within a few seconds -- no more than 5, if that -- I have a thick mound of creamy froth. Then I had the water to finish making the coffee. Fantastic. This thing is so easy and fun to use. This is not the cheapest frother available. I wanted a rechargeable unit that has sufficient power to make nice, creamy froth. Also, I didn't want to spend $10 and have the thing break and have to replace it. Reviews suggest the cheaper ones are fine if you don't regularly use a frother. I never used one before and didn't really think I would use it very often. But I like it so much, I've been using it twice a day. Also, I first saw one in use while traveling in India. Another guest at my small hotel had one, which she used to make a latte with rather than drink the rather tepid offering at the more tea-oriented hotel. That's when I decided to get one. I'll be taking it on future trips. Some come with travel containers; this one didn't. The only learning curve was making sure the cup or pitcher for the cream is deap enough not to splash out the cream. I think I'm actually using a little less cream than I used to because the volume increases so much. I use cold cream, not heated (I used to heat it in the microwave when I was using the NesPresso.) I find I like the initial contrast with the cold cream at the top, then I stir it down into the coffee. The Starbucks coffee is excellent. I've used it for iced lattes in the past, so I knew it was good. I can hardly wait for a heat wave to make them with this frother. I did try to beater attachment in eggs when I was making an omelet. Not worth the trouble -- first, the bowl I was using to beat the eggs was too shallow and egg got all over. Second, a fork works just as well. If I were whipping cream, I would definitely use it.
