Struck in 22-carat yellow gold, this Sovereign is the first Strike on the Day issue produced in traditional yellow gold. The coin struck on 22 January 2026, marking the 125th anniversary of the death of Queen Victoria.

The reverse features Benedetto Pistrucci’s St George and the Dragon design, and the coin includes a privy mark displaying Queen Victoria’s cypher, created specifically for this issue.
