We took careful consideration of tattoo artists feedback to provide a new extra large version of barrier film with user friendly updates. 

• The XL size of 18" wide allows barrier film to be used on larger pieces of furniture and pillows.

• This packaging is sturdy and refillable! Less Packaging is less waste.

• Most importantly,  the barrier film has a spool which sits on and inner frame. This allows the roll to smoothly come out, reducing tearing. 

• Instead of using one box per roll, you can now buy unboxed refill rolls and use the same packaging for months at a time.

Eco-responsible barrier film that is used to easily protect the surfaces of your station from bacteria, viruses and liquids. It is thicker than regular plastic wrap and good for surfaces, bottles or even wrapping a tattoo.

100% compostable means that PLA products are fully renewable. It can be converted back to monomer and polymer, or, it can be biodegraded into water, carbon dioxide and organic materials.

PLA is much more sustainable than regular petroleum made plastic. PLA is the common name for Polylactic Acid or Polyactide. PLA is made from starch rich plants such as corn, wheat and sugar beets. These plants are first milled to separate the starch, from which is unrefined dextrose is processed. The unrefined dextrose goes through a fermentation process and the result is lactic acid.

The tested PBAT polymer is a fossil-based, biodegradable polymer, which is used amongst others for the production of biodegradable, certified compostable bio-waste bags (according to EN 13432) or biodegradable in soil certified mulch films (according to EN 17033).

Our wrap is a combination of PLA and PBAT bio-plastic which is why it is able to break down outside of an industrial facility.

Compostability / Biodegradability

Industrially composted within 90 days.

If home composted or sent to a landfill, this wrap decomposes within 9 months only leaving CO2 and water behind. Our wrap is a combination of PLA and PBAT bio-plastic. Combined with its considered thickness these materials are able to breakdown outside of industrial composting facilities. We've tested both in a home compost scenario and buried in dirt with no aeration and this material completely decomposes. Weather variables can interrupt the 9 month timeline in colder climates but full decomposition always occurs.
