?'Потоп'  — історичний роман-епопея польського письменника Генрика Сенкевича (1846 – 1905), лауреата Нобелівської премії з літератури (1905). Це друга частина історичної трилогії, куди також входять романи 'Вогнем і мечем' та 'Пан Володийовський'. Сюжет 'Потопу', заснований на історичних подіях, пов'язаний з так званим Шведським потопом, коли до Речі Посполитої вторглися шведи (1655—1660).?'Потоп'  — історичний роман-епопея польського письменника Генрика Сенкевича (1846 – 1905), лауреата Нобелівської премії з літератури (1905). Це друга частина історичної трилогії, куди також входять романи 'Вогнем і мечем' та 'Пан Володийовський'. Сюжет 'Потопу', заснований на історичних подіях, пов'язаний з так званим Шведським потопом, коли до Речі Посполитої вторглися шведи (1655—1660).

Час дії роману триває з 1654 по 1657 рік. На тлі широкої панорами життя Речі Посполитої середини XVII століття автор детально описує хід війни, на першому етапі якої, в результаті численних зрад польських магнатів, шведи практично без зусиль захоплюють країну. Велику увагу в 'Потопі' приділено героїчній обороні Ясногорського монастиря, де зберігається особливо шанована в Польщі Ченстоховська ікона Божої Матері, і взагалі тій ролі, яку ця оборона зіграла в підйомі національного духу. Цей опір привів, зрештою, до відродження Речі Посполитої і повного вигнання загарбників.

У цих драматичних історичних подіях бере безпосередню участь молодий полковник Анджей Кміциц, який на початку Шведського потопу прилучився до прошведських сил, проте потім перейшов на сторону патріотів і численними військовими подвигами спокутував провину. Багато в чому цим він міг завдячити своїй нареченій Оленьці Білевич…

Nice fall shirt
The material on this is great. Its soft and smooth. The fit is nice around the chest and stomach, although the sleeves seem a bit too long for me (I'm 5'9 and ordered the large). Its not very thick, so it's a nice early fall, late spring shirt. The only thing I don't like is that the fabric retains wrinkles. If this isn't hung up while warm, it will hold on to wrinkles
