High-stim fat burner capsules with stacked caffeine and Rauwolfia for real drive.

American Metabolix Exile is a high-stim fat burner in capsule form, focused on stacked stimulants, support for those brain chemicals that keep you going, and a few plant-based extras for better absorption, fluid balance, and fighting off oxidative stress. Antioxidants help protect your cells from damage. This isn't one of those new fat burners where every milligram is listed out. It's more old-school with a proprietary blend, so you see the ingredients but not the exact amounts. That matters because in fat burners, the dose decides if something really works, just helps a bit, or is mostly there for show.

The vitamins you can see are simple. Niacin comes in at 50mg as nicotinic acid, which is way below the 500-2000mg used in studies for cholesterol but enough to give some people that warm, tingly niacin flush from widening blood vessels in the skin. You might feel a quick warmth or tingling. Vitamin B6 at 12mg, folate at 62mcg DFE, and vitamin B12 at 35mcg as methylcobalamin help with things like turning food into energy and making brain chemicals, but the folate is lower than the 400-800mcg DFE you often see in research.

The heart of Exile is all about stimulants. Caffeine anhydrous gives you quick alertness by blocking a chemical that makes you sleepy. Dicaffeine malate is there to make that energy last longer with a smoother finish. Theobromine is another stimulant like caffeine but milder on the brain; it helps with alertness, opens up blood vessels, and eases breathing by blocking the same sleepy chemical and slowing down an enzyme. L-tyrosine fits because it's the building block for dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine – those are the chemicals that amp up your focus and energy. Studies show it's best when stress, tiredness, low calories, or tough workouts are wearing you down. The catch is the lack of dose info: bec

Key Highlights

  • 50mg niacin as nicotinic acid is a solid dose compared to what you get in most multis. For some, that means a quick flush or warm feeling that lets you know this isn't some gentle daily pill.
  • Two kinds of caffeine – anhydrous for fast energy and dicaffeine malate to keep it going longer. The anhydrous hits quick to wake you up, and the malate stretches it out so you don't crash right away.
  • L-tyrosine is a smart add for a stim-based diet pill. It's what your body uses to make dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, so it shines when stress, lack of sleep, and cutting calories are killing your motivation.
  • Theobromine isn't just for show if the dose is right. It's like a milder caffeine that adds extra alertness, better blood flow, and easier breathing, making the whole thing feel more complete than straight caffeine.
  • Rauwolfia vomitoria root extract puts Exile in the heavy-hitter fat burner zone. The alkaloids from it crank up your energy and hunger control, but you gotta check your tolerance first.
  • Green tea adds that classic fat-loss boost from its catechins and maybe some extra caffeine. It matches the thermogenic vibe by helping your body burn more without relying only on stims.
  • Bacopa monnieri brings a brain boost that's not common in high-stim burners. It's not about instant energy, but it shows the maker wanted more than just a caffeine rush.
  • Amla extract gives antioxidant backup from a fruit used in traditional remedies. When you're cutting hard with tough workouts, low food, and stims stressing your system, this kind of support makes sense.

Who Is This For?

  • Seasoned bodybuilders in a deficit who need strong stims to maintain heavy training while dropping weight and food. The stacked caffeine, L-tyrosine, and Rauwolfia give that urgent, hunger-killing feel beyond a plain caffeine pill.
  • Early cardio fans who hit it before breakfast and prefer capsules over powders. Exile's stim setup delivers fast wake-up, drive, and fat-burning edge without scooping anything for fasted work.
  • Guys and gals cutting for photos, trips, or summer who want something punchier than regular burners. Multiple stims plus Rauwolfia make it more intense than mild green tea options.
  • Hard-working pros with long days who train tough and need one easy capsule for energy and diet sticking. L-tyrosine helps keep those brain chems going under stress and tiredness.
  • People who handle high stims well and skip beginner stuff. Exile fits those who know clean energy from too much and manage caffeine around a hidden-dose burner.
  • Travelers who want a simple fat burner for the gym bag – no shaker, no mess, no taste burnout. Capsules make it easy for pre-cardio, workouts, or busy days.

How to Use

Begin with 1 capsule to check tolerance, especially if high-stim burners are new to you. If it's good, go to the full 3 capsules, about 20-30 minutes before training, cardio, or your peak activity time. Take with water; no mixing issues, but stay hydrated because of the stims and stuff like dandelion and juniper. Many like it on an empty stomach for quicker effects, but a small meal can soften the niacin flush or stim edge if it's too much. Skip other caffeine sources until you know your limit, since total caffeine isn't listed. It pairs great with non-stim things like creatine, electrolytes, and protein, but don't stack with other burners or pre-workouts that have yohimbe-like stuff. Cycle it or add low-stim days for longer diets to avoid building tolerance. Keep it cool and dry to maintain the capsules.

What to Expect

First 0-10 minutes, nothing much besides easy swallowing – no mixing needed. At 10-25 minutes, you'll likely feel alertness building, some body heat, and fatigue easing as caffeine anhydrous kicks in. By 20-40 minutes, the full stim mix shows up, with theobromine and Rauwolfia deciding if it's smooth, urgent, or super thermogenic based on your tolerance. From 40-90 minutes, it holds steady instead of dropping fast, thanks probably to dicaffeine malate. In the first week, focus on how it feels, not building up like creatine. Over weeks 2-4, it helps you stick to your diet with better energy, hunger control, and workout drive, but watch for tolerance if you use it daily.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is American Metabolix Exile designed to do?

Exile is designed as a high-stim fat burner that supports energy, alertness, dieting adherence, and training intensity during calorie restriction. Its formula is centered on multiple stimulants including caffeine anhydrous, dicaffeine malate, theobromine, and Rauwolfia extract, with L-tyrosine added for focus under stress.

How much caffeine is in Exile per serving?

The exact total caffeine amount is not disclosed on the verified label data available for this product. What is known is that it contains both caffeine anhydrous and dicaffeine malate, so users should treat it as a high-stim formula and avoid adding other caffeine sources until tolerance is established.

Is Exile a good fat burner for beginners?

No. Because the key stimulant doses are hidden and the formula includes Rauwolfia extract alongside multiple methylxanthines, this is better suited to experienced stimulant users than to first-time fat burner buyers.

Why is L-tyrosine included in a fat burner?

L-tyrosine is the precursor to dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine. In practical terms, it is included to help preserve focus and stress resilience when hard training, low calories, and daily fatigue make motivation and mental performance harder to maintain.

What does Rauwolfia extract do in Exile?

Rauwolfia vomitoria root extract is commonly used in thermogenic formulas for its potent adrenergic effects, often associated with rauwolscine-like activity. It can make a product feel stronger, sharper, and more appetite-suppressive, but it can also increase jitters and heart-rate sensitivity.

Can I take Exile with coffee or a pre-workout?

That is not recommended until you know exactly how you respond to Exile by itself. Since the total caffeine content is undisclosed and the formula already includes multiple stimulant compounds, stacking it with coffee, energy drinks, or stimulant pre-workouts can push the experience too far.

When should I take Exile?

Most users do best taking it 20-30 minutes before training, cardio, or early-day activity when they want the strongest alertness and thermogenic effect. Avoid late-afternoon or evening use because the combination of caffeine sources and theobromine can interfere with sleep.

Does Exile contain anything for water balance or a drier look?

Yes. Dandelion root and juniper berry are both common additions in physique-oriented formulas where users want water-management support and a visually drier look in addition to basic stimulant energy.

Is Exile fully transparent about its doses?

No. This product uses a proprietary blend for its key active ingredients, so several important doses are not disclosed. That means you can identify the formula's strategy, but you cannot fully audit whether each ingredient is dosed in line with clinical literature.

Does Exile need to be cycled?

There is no formal loading phase, but stimulant tolerance is a practical reason many users cycle high-stim thermogenics. If the product starts to feel less effective over time, strategic lower-stim days or temporary breaks can help manage habituation.

Great Sound
Size: Pair
Great things sometimes come in little packages. Powerhouse sound with virtually no input at all. Tight, crisp, and well-made as usual from Klipsch. If you are looking for a powerhouse monitor these are what you want.

Great starter speakers - for the right price.
Size: Pair
A good all-around pair of starter speakers if you're planning on using them as standalones. These will have zero trouble filling a small to medium sized space with rich and detailed sound at low to mid volumes. The bass is adequate for their size. They're not going to knock your socks off on more thumpy genres. I would imagine pairing them with a subwoofer would make quite the difference but for rock and some synth pop, they're pretty sweet. Plus the copper woofers look very striking without the faceplates. That said, I say these are best suited at low to mid volumes because cranked, the higher frequencies can be awfully fatiguing coming out of these speakers. I would not pay anywhere close to the $349 MSRP for these (you can probably find a pair of far superior RP-600Ms for around that price nowadays). Around $150 seems like a sweet spot for the R-51Ms, but the Sony SSCS5s and Fluance Signature bookshelfs are very comparable, if not better sounding for around the same price. Still, these will probably more than satisfactory if you're not expecting to be blown away by them. UPDATE 5/20/25: Can confirm that the subwoofer made a big difference. I was going to retire these since I replaced them with some bigger floor speakers on my main setup but I decided to try them out in place of the factory speakers on the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 I have hooked up to my computer. Not only does the onboard amp seem to drive them okay at not-insane levels of volume - they sound really sweet paired with the 6.5-inch subwoofer. While I won't change my rating, I do highly recommend getting a sub along with these speakers.

Great speakers, rich full sound
Size: Pair
These are really great speakers. I got them to go with my husband's new record player for Christmas. These really sound fantastic. A rich range, with a nice bass that's not too much. They were easy to connect to the player. I like a rich sound better then bright (I think if it's too bright it doesn't have enough bass), and these definitely fit the bill. I got these on a black Friday deal which was even better. They are a good value for the quality.

The new amp/speaker configuration made a very noticeably positive difference.
Size: Pair, Size: Pair
I bought a Denton amp / Klipsch 7 speaker bundle for Christmas last year. It sounded impressive. For this year, I recently replace the Denon AVR-S970H, a 5.2.2 POS-Amp that quit after less than a year. Then I also added a 70” TV and a set of R-51M’s on the sides. I could never hear this amp driving the Dolby Atmos speakers on top of the R-625FA towers, so I decided that back speakers would be more beneficial to this 7-channel system. I’d been using the R-41M’s that came in the bundle as side surround speakers, but I was thinking that they would be more suited for use in back. So I replaced them with a new set of R-51M’s that I thought would be better surround sides because of their fuller stronger sound. As of now, at the front of this theater system is an Onkyo TX-RZ 820 AVR amp, a 70 inch LED 4K smart TV, a set of Klipsch R-625FA towers, an R-52C Center Channel Speaker, and two R-12SW Subwoofers. For the surround sides is the newly purchased set of R-51M’s on stands, and mounted on the back-wall is the set of R-41M’s, using BS-218pro Wall Mounts. For good reason, this is a very powerful amp driving a complete set of purely Klipsch speakers. I built this THX 7.2.0 surround sound system to go in my wife’s 11’ X 12’ privacy room, specifically because she is hard of hearing. She said, that with the new additions, the sound is much cleaner, stronger, the 3D surround effect is more noticeable, and the vocals are easier for her to understand. I get to use it sometimes when she’s not at home. Thunder in movies sounds as crisp sharp and loud as real thunder. All around, the system is very realistic sounding. And it can play music, shaking the house at live levels. At present, my wife and I are extremely happy with this system. It sounds as good as it looks. The Klipsch speakers & Onkyo amp configuration makes a very noticeably positive difference.
