A substantial and wonderfully wearable Victorian ring. Hallmarked for 1855 and showcasing the bold yet elegant design language of the mid 19th century.

Created in rich 18 carat gold, the ring is designed in a classic flush set trilogy style. At the centre sits a beautiful natural sapphire displaying a rich royal blue hue, flanked by an old cut diamond to either side. The combination of deep blue sapphire and lively antique diamonds is timeless, creating a striking contrast that remains as appealing today as it was over 170 years ago.

The stones themselves are particularly attractive, being larger hand cut examples that have endless character and charm not seen in modern cuts. The old cut diamonds exhibit a soft, romantic sparkle, while the sapphire provides a rich focal point.

One of the ring's most charming features is the external date letter G stamped to the shoulder, a detail that immediately connects the piece to its Victorian origins.

The mount has a wonderfully solid and satisfying feel on the hand, with the flush setting offering both beauty and practicality. It is worth noting that the pavilion point of the sapphire extends slightly below the base of the setting. This is entirely original to the construction of the ring and does not affect comfort when worn.

The substantial gold mount, richly coloured sapphire, and hand cut diamonds combine to create a ring with real presence while retaining the elegance and refinement expected of Victorian jewellery.

great book
Format: Hardcover
Another great book on Structural therapy. When Minuchin writes, it feels like he is speaking directly to you. Not many books are both educational and enjoyable, but his are. If you are interested in studying Structural, you want this book.
