Beans Diesel Billet Tappet Cover 89-02 Dodge 5.9L CumminsThe 1st and 2nd Gen Cummins are some of the most easily recognizable and coveted diesel powered Rams still on the road today. And there's not many things more disappointing than having a good looking and running truck than one that leaks oil, especially the annoying Crank Case Vent (CCV) system these trucks have. Why not add some style to your engine while also helping to avoid leaks?! Forget cutting or grinding! Beans has included an internal filter

The 1st and 2nd Gen Cummins are some of the most easily recognizable and coveted diesel powered Rams still on the road today. And there's not many things more disappointing than having a good looking and running truck than one that leaks oil, especially the annoying Crank Case Vent (CCV) system these trucks have. Why not add some style to your engine while also helping to avoid leaks?!

Forget cutting or grinding! Beans has included an internal filter baffle that helps keep the oil inside the crankcase where it belongs. This tappet cover utilizes an O-ring seal for a guaranteed leak free install instead of messy silicone or the fragile OEM seal. As usual, only the best coming out of Beans!

IMPORTANT NOTE:
  • The ports on the CCV plate are -12 O-ring Boss. Beans has you covered with -12 ORB plugs, as well as a -12 ORB to -12AN adapter fittings and are available as Add-ons for purchase. You will more than likely need a combination of 2 of these total.
  • Most engines built after 2000 have a crank case vent in the front cover. On these engines the CCV on the Bean Machine tappet cover may not be needed and can be plugged/blocked off.

1999 BMW 528i Fit and works like Original BMW-Pleasantly Surprised
1999 BMW 528i M52TU Engine. Pleasantly surprised and impressed. Everything fit as it should. Yes, one connector pipe took a bit more pressure to get it to "click" and lock, but it did click and lock..and better tight to insure no vacuum leak. Definitely works well and stopped the vacuum leak that old system had. Would recommend especially since price point might lead one to think that quality is not that good, but I'm glad I didn't spend any more on something else. Highly recommend.

Test fit to make sure it connects
When I revived it I thought it had looked a little too small until I compared it, I test fitted it and at first I thought it was a tad bit bigger but realized the more I pushed it in the more it went very tight fit and my car is running healthy. Installation is a pain but go to YouTube and search the “” the 50’s kid”” Who has two methods to getting them on, I went the intake removal route to replace additional parts.
