The Only Blade Recommended by Trex® for Composite Decking

Achieve a flawless, factory-quality finish on your next deck project with the Diablo D1284CD 12-Inch TrexBlade™, the only saw blade explicitly recommended by the Trex Company for cutting their composite decking materials. Standard carbide blades often generate excessive heat, causing composite materials and cellular PVC to melt, mushroom, or show unsightly swirl marks. This blade solves those issues with a specialized Modified Triple Chip Grind (MTCG) tooth geometry that enables the material to remain cool during the cut, delivering a smooth, melt-free edge that requires no sanding or rework.

Engineered for maximum durability, the TrexBlade™ features Diablo’s proprietary TiCo™ Hi-Density Carbide, formulated specifically to withstand the abrasive nature of plastic composites. The blade body is enhanced with a thin kerf design that requires less power from your saw, making it ideal for jobsite tools. Finished with the Perma-SHIELD® Non-stick coating to combat heat, gumming, and corrosion, this blade ensures long-lasting performance and superior accuracy for professionals and DIYers alike.

Key Features

  • Trex® Approved: The only blade series recommended by Trex Company for optimal performance in their composite materials.
  • Modified Triple Chip Grind (MTCG): Specialized tooth geometry keeps the material cool to prevent melting and ensures a swirl-free finish.
  • TiCo™ Hi-Density Carbide: Custom carbide blend maximizes cutting life in abrasive composites, plastics, and PVC.
  • Perma-SHIELD® Coating: Non-stick aluminum alloy coating reduces blade drag and protects against heat, gumming, and rust.
  • Laser-Cut Stabilizer Vents: Absorbs noise and vibration, keeping the blade straight and true for superior cut quality.
  • Thin Kerf Design: Removes less material and reduces amp draw, making it perfect for portable and underpowered saws.
  • Versatile Application: Ideal for high-quality finish cuts in composite decking, cellular PVC, siding, and plastics.

Pro-Tip: While this blade is designed to run cool, "melt" can still occur if you force the saw through the material too slowly (allowing friction to build up) or too quickly (bogging down the RPM). Maintain a steady, moderate feed rate. If cutting bright white PVC trim, wipe the blade teeth with a solvent occasionally to remove any plastic residue build-up for the cleanest possible edge.

Expansive and accessible
Format: Hardcover
This book broadened my thinking on project management within business. It highlights the portfolio angle, and relevant topics like how to drive adoption/usage and broad idea capture. The case studies bring things to life as well as the `list based' approach to best practices. I'd recommend it for someone who wants to understand the latest thinking in the project and portfolio management field and tie it back to business value and business strategy.

Great Reference
Format: Hardcover
The book provides a complete, high-level overview of Project Portfolio Management (PPM). As the title suggests, it covers both Portfolio Management and Project Management. The book is a great reference for PPM concepts. I personally found the first few chapters of the book very interesting, because it talks about portfolio management in a different manner than what you would read in other books such as PMI's The Standard for Portfolio Management. The book has been written in an easy-to-read style and it provides pragmatic ideas on how to best help an organization manage their portfolio, using concepts such as: Anchoring, superior estimation, batch vs. ad hoc prioritization, one portfolio or many, private collection of information, winner's curse, innovation vs. improvement projects, accounting vs. project management, etc. In short, the book is a recommender for all PPM practitioners!

Great introduction to work management
Format: Hardcover
I am not an expert in project or work management and found this book really useful and readable. Moore does a great job of looking beyond standard project management terms and frameworks and helps re-frame project management as a strategic, not a tactical concern.

Nice update
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
I really like this version of a practice test. It covers pretty much all the topics I wanted to learn more about (like math related) and the fact that’s it’s current for this year is great. I didn’t want to practice with old information. It also has a well-structured approach to mastering the digital format. I feel like it properly prepares you for the actual feeling of doing the test. My favorite thing has to be the mini test. Sometimes I think I’m ready for a test but end up realising I still have a long way to practice so it’s great to have a tool that helps with that. Just overall, its practice is very reasonable so as long as you take the time to really take advantage of this book, the SAT will be a breeze.
