When developing the decor in 2023, product designer Zhuoyu Hou drew on the art history of her Asian roots. As one of the elements of the so-called "Four Gentlemen", bamboo is one of the most popular motifs of the Song Dynasty (960 to 1279) - not only because of its refined beauty, but above all because of its characteristic features, which have been attributed to it by Chinese writers for generations. With the bamboo, Zhuoyu Hou has created a decoration that transforms MEISSEN® Cosmopolitan into a true symposium of tradition and modernity, symbolism and craftsmanship.
