The chessmen boast a king at 9.4cm tall, and all the pieces have been beautifully carved, finished and weighted for perfect balance in the hand. The olive pieces showcase their beautiful grain in their carvings, whilst the ebonised boxwood pieces make a significant contrast. All bases are covered in a black felt to protect your board whilst in play.

As you would expect from the world-famous Rechapados Ferrer, the chessboard itself is truly a work of art. Crafted from high-quality wood veneers of black tulip and olive wood, it is also finished to a very high standard. The case has a platform to store the chessboard and also a drawer below to store the pieces, all the while keeping the whole set safe whilst not in play.
