It can be carved at speed due to the metal laminate construction but the shape lends itself to being easy to slash and manoeuvre through trees and bumps.
New updates in the Mindbender series are all focused on controlling how the skis deal with vibrations. K2's are known for being quite smooth and intuitive rides, but the new Dark Matter Damping takes this to all new levels. By placing targeted mass in the mid tip and mid tail of the ski, the skis smooth out bumps and make for an easy and calm ride in all conditions.
Who’s it for?
The Mindbender 101 is targeted at a younger customer than the narrower Mindbender range. With a progressive mount point and subtle directional twin shape, its perfect for someone who has skied on twin tipped skis in the past, but wants something with more of a backbone for all mountain riding.
Why we love it?
The Mindbender 101 is where we hoped a ski with the Mindbender name would sit. Its a freeski oriented one ski quiver. Strong enough for choppy runouts and firm piste whilst maintaining a shape that allows it to be fun and slashy in the park.
