Cartonnage is an amazing craft. Learn how to make a fabric box or tray is a great idea! You can make your own keepsake boxes, cases and much more out of cardboard, fabric and glue using Cartonnage!! And your pieces will be sturdy as wood, but made with your favorite fabric.
This DIY cartonnage Kit comes with all cardboard you need to make your own cartonnage basket, as shown in the pictures. The pieces of paper (chipboard and poster board) are precut in the right sizes you need for this project. The finished basket will be 7.5" x 7.5" x 3.5". You can make it special for Easter or other seasons, or just use your favorite fabric, it is up to you! No worries about cutting paper! Fabric not included. One tag is included, so you can cover with fabric and add a name to your basket!
ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS AVAILABLE! The instruction is a very clear PDF tutorial (written) with over 200 pictures showing in details step by step to guide you through the whole process (it is not video, it's written instructions), no steps missing, no guessing! Inside the kit you will find the password and easy directions to download the instruction to your computer.
For making this basket you will need this kit, the instruction, two coordinating fabrics (1 fat quarter each), white PVA glue (Glue All - Elmer's), rotary cutter, cutting board, a small paint roller with tray, paint brush, masking tape, paper awl or other punch.
Cartonnage tools (spatula, acrylic spacers and corner tool) will facilitate the process and give a better finishing for your project. Find them in the tools section of the shop.
