We all understand what justice means, however when you experience the total absence of justice, it takes on a more profound meaning, it's deeply personal and the scars are life-long. At age 17 Billich was sentenced to 10 years in prison for trying to escape communist Yugoslavia and as a child, he also experienced first-hand the atrocities of war. Given his life history and especially considering the quantum shift in humanity away from personal freedoms and democracy, Billich felt compelled to make a personal statement that encapsulates both his own feelings and that of a World where justice has lost its meaning.

The pursuit of Justice is the story of us all, this ideal is generally depicted as being blind and impartial, however, that is rarely the case. In this magnificent bronze sculpture Billich has depicted Justice as a warrior; she stands resolute and battle ready.

Art Evolution as the publisher is privileged to work with the famous Perseo foundry in Switzerland which for 30 years has been the exclusive producer of Salvador Dali sculptures. Charles Billich in my opinion is one of the most important artists of the last 100 years and just like Dali, Billich wishes to expand his artistic legacy in the hope that this meaningful and timely sculpture will resonate throughout future generations.
