Dunoon is Dishwasher safe, but we recommend modest use, as the caustic nature of dishwasher detergents can cause colors to fade the beautiful glaze over a period of time. Handwash is advisable. 

Dunoon fine bone china is Microwave safe unless the design contains metallic elements such as gold or platinum in the decoration. 

To care for the glazed finish, avoid abrasive and metallic cleaning products.

To prevent possible cracking on your first use, pour the hot water over the back of a teaspoon, or add milk first.
