The Patagonia Swiftcurrent Wading Jacket is Patagonia's most versatile technical jacket, built for the unpredictable changes a day on the water can throw at you. At its core is a 4-layer, waterproof and breathable H2No Performance Standard shell, free of perfluorinated chemicals and made of NetPlus 100% postconsumer recycled nylon spun from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic. This is the Forge Grey colorway.
The shell is built for comfort as well as protection, with a 15-denier circular-knit slick jersey backer, a waterproof and breathable barrier, and a PFC-free DWR finish. Every detail is tuned for the realities of fishing. The adjustable, vented hood and integrated collar give maximum protection in heavy weather and high winds, and the hood is designed to fit over any headwear. Watertight, adjustable cuffs keep your arms dry when you reach in to release a fish, with a recessed design that eliminates line snag.
Pockets are placed for an angler. Two low-profile front-zip pockets fit fly boxes, and zippered handwarmer pockets sit high enough for deep wading, with flap covers for back-of-hand comfort. The drawcord hem uses a mesh-lined casing that drains excess water while an adjustable elastic drawcord pulls the jacket into a close, drag-free fit. It is sewn in a Fair Trade Certified factory, which means the people who made it earned a premium for their work.
